Completely agree. It is very monotonous to have yet another Zokora bashing thread created. None of the midfield had a good game, yet he is targeted.

I do wonder which Ramos family member Tainio slept with. It's a joke that he doesn't get in the side ahead of Zokora. Jenas plays so much better when he has Tainio behind him too. Surely it was Tainio's place to lose after the 5-1

To be honest, post half-time Malbranque has nothing to give us. At least Zokora still tries to make runs. Not all being successful runs, though.

He lost the ball in dangerous areas frequently, which he does mostly every game. He wasnt really punished for any of his errors so they wont be highlighted, but he had a decent game by the standards he has set for himself, unfortuntley these standards are not high and as such he still had a poor game.

He is not shit or useless as he is often suggested to be here, he simply isnt as good as we were expecting him to be and is unlikely to be as good as we want/need a player to be in our CM.

He is the type of player who would probably look good in a Wigan or Charlton (prem days) type team but doesnt really have the quality to be in a team with ambitions to be where we want to be.

I think/hope we will be bringing in a CM player of similar quality to what the signing of Woodgate brought us in defence, then it will be on all of our current CM's (including Zoko) to raise their game and prove they are worth a place in the line up (or if not be moved on)

I still half expect Zokora to move to Reading and form Spurskings dreamteam midfield of Emerse Fae and Himself....now thats team building
