Just some thoughts -

Do we do some thing wrong..... Are we training to hard - does the players get their rest? Are there individuel training program for each player (high and low periods)? does they test each player for how he is responding to one kind of training and so on?

Is there any on this board with any ITK knowledge or just knowledge about this :)

Or get Jens Bangsbo in:

Hope the club takes a look at Barca :

"The doping rumors are just that rumors not based in fact of any kind. Nadal is having PRT treatment on his tendonitis. Here is what Dr. Michael Sanchez state on the subject. Listen up rumor-mongers.

Dr. Mikel Sánchez said...
We use this treatment in all kinds of patients and also in athletes. We are very well aware of the anti-doping regulations. About a month ago, we were invited to join a committee of 20 medical experts in Lausanne to study the different applications of this treatment under the tutelage of the IOC and the WADA.

PRPs cannot be used in muscle injuries, but its use in tendinopathies is allowed after completing a TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption) document. In fact, some representatives of the spanish anti-doping agency and the spanish olympic committee visited Dr. Eduardo Anitua´s research center in Vitoria, and granted us permission to use this treatment in this particular athlete.

I insist on the fact that the PRGF® is the best characterized PRP in the literature. I really don´t see how, from a scientific point of view, several infiltrations inside the tendon of an athlete can enhance performance. Maybe ignorance can lead to this conclusion.

Our protocols in the treatment of tendinopathies are sufficiently published in the literature. We would like people to be more cautious when mentioning doping subliminally. It is a very severe accusation to be made thoughtlessly. It is surprising to see how easy rumors and propaganda in non-specialized press cast a shadow of doubt over our medical practice.

We are present in every scientific forum we are invited to but we never argue or comment on our patient´s medical records without their consent.

With this letter we want to put and end to our participation in this discussion. We are at your disposal should any colleague require any additional information about our use of PRGF® in different pathologies.

Please send your questions to: [email protected]

Sincerely,

Dr. Mikel Sánchez

I did notice HR giving the physio a bit of an ear bashing. Possibly related to warm ups etc.

We always have groin issues, tears etc. Things that come from exertion and not contact.

I did like the old doc we had. Liverpool headhunted him. Probably to keep Torres on the pitch a priority.

Well it was obvious VdV should never have started against Pool with him carrying that injury all week.

I hope the management and players learn from this and don't take stupid chances like that.

We're not the only ones suffering. Maybe the World Cup has played a part in it. Also the pitches themselves I think are a real problem in this country.

Did you mean Gerbil?

I had to look up Geril, which apparently is something from Star Wars - something that one of the Huts used to groom himself with

A bit of a random one that

Good though

No, you are right...my bad:oops:

I used 'EDIT' to rectify the mistake when I spotted it, hoping no-one had spotted meantime.

Damn you, damn you to hell, Ron Burgundy:grin:

Far from it my friend, how about this!

"Gerils were small creatures that Soergg used to groom himself"

Soergg being:

"Soergg Vosadii Bezhin was a gray Hutt bossban on Ansion in 22 BBY. Based in Lower Cuipernam, his majordomo was Ogomoor, his aide was Ib-Dunn, he had two Yuzzem bodyguards, and at least four concubines: a Human, a Brogune, and at least two of an unknown species"

errrr, obviously

I feel we've all learnt something today

Didn't Kaboul say something like the first day he turned up he had his trainers with him and was told "You won't be needing them son, we practice football here not running about" i'm badly paraphrasing but i'm sure he said that.

I find this very important - unfortunately I think that the training is done on a old fashion way by Bond, Jordan and old Harry

They should just move the slider down a couple of notches to Medium.

hmm perhaps, is it coincedence that woodgate enjoyed so much injury free time under ramos, in fact im struggling to think of to many injuries doing that period, although they were mostly dark times.
If there's one thing that regime did right was its fitness program, remember tom being positively greek god like after a preseason with Ramos.

probably part of the reason the players were so unhappy under ramos though, no burgers, no ketchup!

Woody enioyed no more time free of injury under Random than he did for Harry. He also enjoyed an injury-free season-and-a-half under Gareth Southgate. Prior to 2006-2007 he hadn't had an injury-free season since 1999-2000.
