You started off well, then spoilt it using the C word!
Yes.
Couldn't hack it in Major League Shit in the USA, didn't come good until his final 6 months at Madrid, and I just plain dislike the guys completely egocentric attitude to everything he does.
Errr, he hacked it pretty well in the MLS especially given the initial hounding he was given by the fans/players when he chose to play in Milan as well - another example of his strength of character.
He was also very good at Madrid throughout and again overcame adversity when he was a victim of the bizarre politics of that club by proving himself to Capello once he'd been dropped.
Footballers egocentric? Well i never... (and to be fair, there are many more larger egos playing football than him - he's clearly got a massive amount of love and respect for the game).
BBLG is just jealous that Beck's hair is foppier then his!
Beckham would be far too smart for most of the dumb ass defenders in this league, his positioning is brilliant, his first touch sublime,he would just play one touch football until he found space and then he would slam in a killer pass.
He would break down teams like Wigan,Blackpool,West Ham,Wolves and Birmingham with his eyes closed.
Let's dig up Ghandi and use him then, because he has strength of character too, and is about as quick as Beckham. And no, not to anybody who watched all his matches (cough cough) was he very good at madrid. He was very good for his final months after coming through the adversity of being shunned by both Mclaren and Capello. Prior to that he had 3 full seasons in which he was very out of his depth despite having superb players around him who he should have thrived on playing with. And as for love and respect for the game... what, like wanting to play in the Olympics, something meant for aspiring young players, at the age of 38 just so that he can have another addition to his undeserved cabinet of glories at the expense of someone upcoming prospect? Perhaps the most selfish thing he, who has acheived and proved everything he needs to already, could do.
Beckham is no longer good enough to contribute to the playing side of things at Spurs, he hasn't been for a few years, and him coming to us would not be in any way shape of form for the benefit of anybody but Mr Beckham and whoever it is that can spell well enough to write his heavily spun autobiography for him.
Only because I chopped my locks off. At full length there is no equal to my floppiness Eek
