Well i for one would rather we give Bentley another chance .....before anyone jumps on me i have an ulerior motive.

Thing is he did ok at the end of the season when we got fourth and clearly has "some" talent. Iremember being pretty damn happpy when we got him. Great delivery and may work ok with walker. (stil lweak so far i know)

Main point however is that as things stand he has zero value whatsoever after a failed loan at Wham. We stand to make a tremendous loss on him. IFhe gets a chance, even ifthat be in the europa league and carling games, and shows any class at all... i believe somebody will see that as a sign hes still got something to offer and we could sell himin jan if we wanted to. I dont think we will gain a lot more by selling him for peanuts yet losing his wage off the bill, than we would paying his wage for an extra 4 months but receiving maybe a 3/4 mill fee? For me us losing up to 500k or a little more is well worth the chance that he may, under a manager who plays more than 13 players, rediscover form and become a great sub/backup. New squad player signing for free.

Would it be possible to set up some kind of community moderation where we can mark proper twitter posts and they copy into a seperate sub forum?

No, I think you make some fair points. He's a very decent player, or at least was; he put in several classy performances against us for Blackburn, and I thought he'd be a good signing. Not for £15m, though, when we could probably have had Seb Larsson for half that at most.

Theories as to what's gone wrong with him could fill a decent-sized book, and, yes, there's talent there. The flaw in your argument is that you're suggesting we play a lame duck in order to put him in the shop window. We really can't afford to do that. I think we'll just have to bite the bullet and take the hit, to mix metaphors.

It's a shame we can't bill Comolli and Ramos.

i know what ur saying ss57, though i dnt mean play him as a lame duck really i just dont think we gain enough by taking the hit. I think the risk and taking the chance he improves is worth the hit of his wages. No1 else will pay those wages anyway
