If it's Russia, not much help wrt EU movement. More likely to have some vague Portuguese/other Euro acenstry which could help. Besides which, I doubt either would have to worry. They'd get shiffled through the hearing.

Tell that to Bobby Convey!

Indeed. Although I'd have to say I'd agree with their ruling. A half-season with Reading of good form (and he hardly pulled up any tress even then) 5 yrs later and that was it.

"Major League Soccer sold Convey to the English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur two weeks ago in a $2million deal on the condition he obtain a work permit, but his request was rejected Thursday on the grounds that he was not talented enough to have an impact on the EPL"

Bit harsh :ROFLMAO: I can't see either of these two failing on those grounds.

Fernandinho is a lot like (lazy comparison) Ramires.

He is 27 though. So we have to factor in he may only have 5 more good years left.

Oh I completely agree - in any case, I dare say the ruling is perhaps more relaxed now for clubs like ours so I wouldn't expect too much of a hitch if we do end up pursuing the likes of Willian/Fernandinho etc.

Probably more the latter. Chelsea have signed Oscar whilst he is at the Olympics and I would guess a large proportion of the players we are interested in are not at the Olympics anyway so I don't see that as a reason for any hold up.

It is probably a mixture of AVB looking at his squad (I'm sure we have some definite targets we want no matter what and some 'maybe's' depending on his assessment of the squad). I also think Jaspers ITK makes sense in that we are standing back, letting others do business and working quietly and steadily behind the scenes to get our deals in place. At least I hope that's the case.

Why would we be waiting for Chelsea and City? If they're in for the same players as us, we almost certainly lose: we might be able to match the fee, but not the wages (see Gareth Barry). On the other hand, it's certainly true that some people do seem to think that if there's no ITK, there's nothing going on.

brazilian jenas.

english jenas is bad enough thanks!

persoanlly think there cud be something in ramirez links as he is more a winger type than the brazilian players.

i think if we signing a modric replacement it will be either willian or moutinho but would not suprise me with neither as too expensive and not sure levy would make any of them our record signing

Maybe we are waiting for our rivals as it may free us up to A) go for some of their secondary targets without them pushing the price up, B) consider some of their players who become surplace to requirement (this is more related to man city) and C) stops their agents demanding excessive wages because they think we are competing with a superpower.

But man city did not make a commitment to his charity. He did.

If you move jobs your old employer doesn't take over your bills.

That's true, but it's possibly not how Adebayor sees it. He may have been quite happy to sit out his contract but they seemed quite eager to get rid.
Not saying it's true, just offering a possible explanation.

If it was written into the contract that City pay x amount to the charity, they did make a commitment.

Even if it wasn't written in. Say Adebayor has pledged to the charity that he'll give them however much money it is over the length of his contract, because when he signed it, he didn't see any of what's happened coming. City are desperate to get him off the bill and it would still be cheaper than if he stayed. I guess he holds all the chips really, and he's just trying to get the best deal out of City.

Not ITK but ITK related

A guy over in SO posted this claiming some ITK (i'm not RO'ing this as it seems like bs)

Oh and again, I'm not ITK, but have been Passed some news by my cousin Who is a black cab driver.

Apparently he picked up Hulk's agent and dropped him off somewhere.

They got speaking and in the guys words 'levy needs to Put his hand in his pocket' to sign hulk. Hulk is interested in working with AVB again and would sign for us. But he wants more money than we are offering by the looks of it.

This guy is also bae, kabouls and bassongs agent.

He has also been told to find Bassong a new club as he is not needed.

Archie shot it down elegantly with

they all have different agents!

It made me giggle :D
