I'd imagine they will be on a fair whack at Shakhtar and I don't know why, but i'm not overly enamoured by signing either for what will be £20million plus transfer fees.

Admittedly I haven't seen either play extensively but I remain sceptical over whether they will make the transition into our side.

Stand off's between bartering clubs or club and player are becoming commonplace nowadays with the ever changing complexities of the modern football contract. I mean a player wanting the club he's leaving to donate £50k to a charity each week on his behalf for a couple of years after he's gone has to be first! :ROFLMAO:

I'd expect Ade to sign sometime before the season starts and find talk of him seeing out his Citeh contract on 'a matter of principle' as just an improbable act of bravado.

I dont get the whole waiting for other clubs to do there business flannel. If we want the same players well that's just not a very good tactic and if not what exactly are we waiting for.

Fernando Luiz Rosa or simply Fernandinho (meaning 'Little Fernando') was born May 4, 1985 in Londrina, Brazil and is a footballer who currently plays for Shakhtar Donetsk. He is well known for his blistering pace and ability to shoot from long distances.
He is described as a "a defensive midfielder with a box to box style of play, contributing in large part to the defense and the attack. With a powerful shot and great passing range, Fernandinho has played in important part in breaking up opposition attacks and creating goal scoring opportunities."

Luka replacement?

Sandro clone more by the sounds of things, Sandro is a DM but excellent box to box

I can kinda see Ade's point.
He had, say a four year deal at City on stupid wages, but those wages were guaranteeing his charidee 50k per week for those 4 years. Ade finds himself leaving after 2 and his charidee stands to lose 2 years worth of 50k per week.
Ade knows that no other club would agree to that sort of wage but sees it that City are spunking cash left, right and centre, so why shouldn't they honour their commitment to his charity.
In a way, I don't blame him.

As for us sitting outside the sweetshop and letting the rich kids shoot their loads first?
It wouldn't be the first time that has been rumoured to be the case and it would make sense. All the fat kids do is drive the prices up for the rest of us.

SpursIdol provided some sensible ideas last night on the Adebayor situation. Seems its his views, but I have always been of the opinion that SpursIdol knows much more than he is willing to share on here, and personnally take any information he shares very seriously.
Anyway, wee link here, http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/ind...itk-discussion-thread-25th-july.88754/page-11

Simply put, Adebayors situation with City now resembles that of Vertonghens with Ajax. Hopefully, we have agreed our end of the deal and its now up to City and Adebayor to agree theirs.

I'm not knocking SpursIdol at all, he's talking sense, but what he said there is simple logic, not necessarily insider knowledge. I posted it virtually verbatim a couple of weeks ago and I have no connection to the club bar a season ticket and some (now virtually worthless) shares.

The Shaktar Fernandinho has been with them since 2008, last played for them on 21st July according to this

http://uk.soccerway.com/players/fernando-luiz-rosa/19655/

Since 2005, player of the year in Ukraine in 07-08, 27 years old and a box-to-box midfielder with "blistering pace, powerful shot and great passing range" according to Wiki. The replacement for Parker in a year or two maybe?

Sandro and another DM (box-to-box) sitting behind an attacking 4?
