Well, if our target is at the Olympics and we're near announcing something, surely they'll be pretty close / at match fitness?
There'll obviously still be an issue in integrating them with the team etc, but at least they won't be knackered after a half!

According to Wikipedia...
"The national pyramid competitions starts in May and ends in December. The state pyramid has different duration and schedule in each state, but in states with clubs competing on the national first and second divisions, the main state championships run from January/February to April/May."
So hopefully it won't be too bad for him?

I think the bigger issue if we sign Leandro would be the fact that he doesn't speak English and that he doesn't know our system. Not how fit he is.

Yep. I suppose if needs be we can make him watch Godfather films and he can be a Brazilian Berbatov.
It's almost like a case of throw enough mud and some of it will stick.
The new twit of ITK in recent times was Nelsen and Saha from JJ. Since then though he has dropped off a fair bit.
Maybe he lost his contact when Redknapp and co were moved on?
As we are all reminded, the ITK should be taken with a pinch.

Don't get it. We've signed 2 players since then & got a new manager, all of which JJ has clearly been strongly ITK about and has confirmed on or significantly reassured on in advance of announcements. His recent role, SINCE WE'VE SIGNED NOBODY, has been more about tempering enthusiasm about wild rumours and encouraging faith in our purchasing strategy (which cannot be deemed a success or failure until the window closes.)
Wait and see, when the deals get close or concrete, he'll be there before the others.
I also think that since his profile has risen he's less inclined to name names, but there's no doubt he's close to the person who's signing the cheques and about as ITK as they come.

I just find it very very hard to believe the club is lining up world class players with values amounting to over £90m because, lets be honest, If you sign a play for massive money you have to pay massive wages and we don't.
All this talk about world class players, realistically how many world class players are there in the modern game? Very few and I don't think we can afford them or offer them Champions League football.
Not being negative, just not buying it really. Still very optimistic about things going forward for Spurs.
