I wish people would stop going on about the bloody ratings (I appreciate that this post is also going on about the ratings).

The rating system should just be scrapped or certainly changed! To be able to receive a negative for a spelling mistake? Oh please - has no one heard of dyslexia? Should a poster that has this double check every word with their dictionary?
People are having their opinions described as dumb which then sticks with them - if someone were to write a response of "your post is dumb" they would probably receive a warning for that but now it seems its okay?!?! I have no issue with the agree and disagree options but the rest are ridiculous!

Rant over! I hope no one pulls me up on my spelling as I dont have time to check every word I type

That's all I'm trying to transpire. There is obvious ambition. Don't all be doom merchants. I know I can't check news with Harry like I have done the last 4 years but I trust JJ and I trust his enthusiasm.

He has told me who we are looking at and all the sensible amongst you will appreciate I can't steal thunder and blurt out names but I can tell you that there is no doubt in anyone's mind, these players are world class.

And to sign them all would cost upwards of £90m in transfer fees alone.

We would need to be brave.

Well, let's hope that the guessers on here haven't identified our actual targets and/or Chelscum don't beat us to the signings. Would be brilliant to actually get one or two top target signings.

Couple weeks ago I said if we sell Modric, then a double deal from porto for hulk £35m and moutinho £25m. Add Damaio £25m and that's about £85-90 million. Coys

Ryan said if all the names come good, it could cost around 90 mill.
People are saying we won't spend that but firstly, they'll be costs per player based on Ryan's estimates. Secondly, add to that what we make off sales and thirdly, there's a chance that we won't sign everyone that he's been told we're after.
I could quite easily see us spending there, or there abouts.

AVB has said post-Watford match that he wants one striker in before the Newcastle match - not sure you get more ITK than that as I doubt he'd have said it if he didn't think we'd get somebody in...

I'm of the belief coaches/managers are like politicians: no true account of things leave their mouths. I genuinely don't want to know who we're signing til it's on OS. Chelscum etc will out of sheer transfer bullying buy up our targets to reduce our future success. I'm always up for ITK, and will always use salt where appropriate; enjoy the excitement of the ifs & buts, and the games that are played. COYS

"wants" is the operative word. He will get it when the terms of the deal are to Levy's liking.

Just a thought but even if we do sign Ade will he be match fit for Newcastle? How rigorous has his training been this preseason with the City kids? To me it looks like JD will be leading the line for our first game of the season as I just don't think Ade is match fit....
