Anybody else loving this new spangly financial spying ITK ? Its like University Challenge IQ ITK and it feels all sexy and hard business like. I can almost see Demi Moore in a short skirt and silk blouse faxing off the Spurs LOC, before sexually harassing me on the desk.

Our ITK has been taken to a whole new level.

I feel like I should be wearing a pinstripe suit, and have a pink newspaper tucked under my arm while I read this

Excuse me for not reading every post on the LOC.

I deal with LOC's every day, and they (in the business i am in and are commonly known as) Letter Of Consent.

It usually is an agreement outline that factors in the agreement of a deal. Is signed by and witnessed at Chairman, Owner level and is an agreement between two companies in order to establish and provide evidence that an agreement has been declared and agreed. This is a legal docunment.

Hope this may (or may not) help. .......:barefoot:

Hehe.

I'm only involved as an article writer. I'm a bit of a geek for this sort of stuff and am writing a note on this to put on the site.

It seems we're gearing up for our Bank to guarantee to pay someone else's Bank some money.

Whether that's for a player or a lot of kit from abroad - who knows?

It could and I say COULD also mean that everything is agreed, absolutely everything, but they (the seller) require a LOC for insuring the sale in light of football Market conditions.
An insurer usually puts conditions on Export Sales Insurance with regard payment terms...

I'm exited : )

Would we need this for a bid of say £4m for Ade? Or are we likely talking tens of millions?

It's funny how the ill-feeling in here has been somewhat defused with some confusion over international finance.

"Levy out!
Tight bugger is costing us players!
This is a joke!"

LOC being prepared, something used with insurance brokers and banks which means....

":cautious: Whatchu talkin' bout, Willis?"

So my understanding is this: We have agreed a fee for someone/something and now the club are just getting a guarantee from the bank to say that we can pay it.

That's positive whatever way you look it at. Although it just goes someway to show on of the little intricacies involved in a multi-million pound deal.
