Anyone got any news on whether a deal was done for Leandro in January? It was mooted during the final knockings of the window. Equally, would anyone be surprised if the deal for Moutinho was being worked on in the background in time for Jan? It sounds like the details will take that long to sort!

Looked up Jorge Mendes and he's pretty high-flying, Ronaldo for instance and a raft of stars.

Frying pan /fire? Anyway, getting away from Zahavi has to be a good thing.

OT. Who's bright idea was this international break? You have three weeks of football plus the climax of the transfer window then what? Nothing that's what.
I'm so unenamoured right now. First they took my transfer window then they took my football.

Roll on next week.

It's very unlikely we will get moutinho now I reckon that ship has sailed but we all knew it was too good to be true lets.

I know some people on here get upset if anyone says anything against our chairman but he is not quite in the same class as city or Chelsea who go all out to support their manager so until we get a chairman or owner like that we will have to put up with these sort failures from time to time.

So going out to support our manager means spending money that we don't have? I don't think citeh or cheatski are a fair comparison are they?

That is good to know. Great info mining, Bware. Might just be a coinkydink but it has a whiff, coming so soon after the TW, of a "fuck off you stupid, meant to be working for me, prick" move to me.

I think the most consistent thing in the Moutinho shit was that not only did we want him, but that he wanted to be here.

It's got to be pretty upsetting to know that you had every opportunity to get to a club you want to be at, with the manager you want to be with, and to have it all fumbled away due to not being able to get the language right.

I think all parties involved are to be blamed in some aspect, but if I were Moutinho, and the move to Tottenham was at the top of my "To-Do List" for my career at this point in time, I'd be upset that my agent didn't figure out a way to ensure that it happened.

Haha:LOL:

I can only speak for myself but I didn't want Clint Fucking Dempsey anywhere near a LFC shirt so it was actually a bitter-sweet moment when you lot snapped him up right at the end! :D

Still think that FSG were/are happy to stump up the cash for a Llorente or a similarly expensive striker as you claimed on here before the window shut?

I can only assume that Rodgers is happy with Luiz 'couldn't hit a barn door' Suarez and the rank average Borini as his only senior strikers.

I almost googled 'coinkydink' until the penny dropped just in time.

(Note to self: remember Misfit is 'different'.)

Presumably the move would have been part funded by the "at least £15m" that Carroll was "off to Newcastle" for;)

This is still going? Is there anything better to discuss?

Hm. I don't think there is.

Oh, except Phil McNulty saying this.
"No surprise at talk of Liverpool seeking keeper reinforcement. If not to sign Reina's potential successor at least to put him under pressure"

I can't help but think about the 'Friedel has done nothing wrong' type comments when Spurs brought in Lloris. Yes, but, he's 41.. and Carlo is also old.. and Gomes has been injured/'injured' for a long time.. Button sold. So....... yeah. The whole thing around Rodgers has been the opposite to AVB, despite the circumstances being largely the same.

No press agenda though, nope. None.

Sometimes you have to see that players who use these high profile agents get what the agents want and not what they want, its obvious that the deal wasnt right for his agent so didn't happen . Perhaps they will take note and steer away from the greedy mercenary bas*ards!!!!!

I think if Leandro had been done we would know (one way or another)

I would have thought the JM deal would be worked on from now until Jan, but then I always expect that to be the case with Levy and it seems it never actually is. Every window I expect to see some quick fire deals because will have tied them all up in between window except for the official signings and processing of deals

Every window however we seem to be starting a new and no doubt this next window will be no different as we make some last day attempts to sign who we really want

Well, don't know about 'better', but there's this, from Hoofhearted on COYS, posted in the Graham Roberts thread in Spurs Chat by Arnoldlayne:

I was just going to post a thread about AVB and players at the club, then saw this thread.

So; was speaking to someone yesterday (no names but I guess you all know who I mean) and have been told that Daws is mightily pissed off, was told by AVB he would play major part in this years team although rotation was being introduced, he would be club captain, then told club had accepted a bid from QPR, no reason given, he id going to Sunderland in January, would have gone in the last transfer window but O'Neill didn't have the cash !!!!

Huddlestone, Jenas and Defoe have been treated similarly, and before you say Defoe has signed a new contract, that is Levy, can ask more for him if he sells due to length of contract remaining.

VdV would have stayed had it not been made obvious to him that Gylfi was going to be first choice for the one position, not even a "Gylfi and you will be fighting for the same position."

Players out on loan won't be coming back, Bentley is so happy, not bothered about looking for another club, happy just to take the money.

Depressing reading whichever way you take it.

Not bashing, but Hoofhearted is the worst ITK I have ever seen.
Apparently got somethign right once upon a time via BelgianBrownie who had connections with Darren Bents Dad, is that right?
All I have ever seen from him is complete drivel.

Thanks for sharing, but I'm filing in the 'Kaka' drawer

That's right. He knows Bent, and got his ITK reputation because he held out for him coming to us when everyone else was saying he was nailed on for the Spammers. Everything else he's posted needs treating with extreme caution, though. That said, one assumes that the 'someone' he's referring to is Bent, so I wouldn't dismiss this out of hand as he must still maintain contact with our players. You certainly don't have to be ITK to figure that Dawson at least must be one unhappy bunny
