Another great cameo from Deuce.

Not only did we waste 6m on him but we stopped the bin dippers from spending that.

Not the first time i say this. But Dempsey is useless, 6m thowed away. Give that to poor Children in Africa or something Give 6m for him is like burning them...

Hmm when you have a 40 page thread thats still going near the end of the season asking what the summer signing is actually good at, you know he's been a bad buy.

It was an understandable purchase but it hasnt worked out

When Holtby was taken off for him, I almost fainted........

Dempsey has a goal threat and his chip against Villa at home for Bale's goal was class. But I think Sigurdsson has more to offer.

I was sad to see holtby out for demps as he was probably our best ball winner and starter of plays in oppo half.

Although it must be said that the whole team shut down and dempsey played no worse than anyone that last 20mins.

Yeah I know, I just don't know why. Why can't we ever just judge a player on how good he was, not whether he was a big name. Adebayor was sort of a big name and I think he gets a pass from a lot of fans because of his reputation.

Shush you, Jenas is gone, we need a scapegoat.

I have my problems with Dempsey. But considering Lennon, Bale and Defoe are out, isn't it slightly good that we have some competent cover for them?

It would be great to have competent cover but Dempsey has looked incompetent in almost all his performances for Spurs.

Have we had one good striker since Berbatov left? Besides Ade last year I don't think so. The list is painful to look at. Off the top of my head:

Bent
Keane mk2
Crouch
Defoe
Pav
Adebayor
Saha
Dempsey

Maybe it's time we fired our striking coaches and also brought in some quality strikers finally for once.
