Am I wrong? Walworthyid just gave me a disagree rating for saying that the ITK says that AVB is a coach not a manager and he is not making the decisions about who is bought and sold.
I'm pretty sure that has come through loud and clear from the ITKs - or am I imagining things?

I'm sure he gets some input, along with the rest of the committee.

There is precedence...
Depends on timings and availability of players.
If Lamela and Bernard said no, then what, McManaman?
I though Rasiak for Kanoute was as bad it would get. We reached new heights with Frazier Campbell for Berbs. Selling Bale with zero replacement. DL would have resign on the spot. A troll can't get any bigger than that.

This is the biggest worry! JJ says we will be stronger, but he doesn't tell us who we are going for or if they are up for the move. It's very worrying. It's 20 goals lost from our team when he goes.

I heard Zog was looking for a new club.....

I kid. I kid.

Isco on a season-long loan. Last resort, like. Least Real could do.

Just been listening to interview with sports finance expert Professor Tom Cannon on Talksport talking about RM and why Levy is wary of accepting their staggered payments terms. Very enlightening.

Said that staggered payments would give others the impression that we have loads of dosh and would worsen our future negotiation position,
When Gabriele Marcotti was doing his best to back RM and say that they were good for the money, the Professor knocked back his argument. Also said that Levy is far too smart to accept their payment terms as they would be be to our disadvantage. DL would not want to pay more to get less, he would want to pay less to get more.

He basically backed Levy`s stance on the matter as it made no financial sense to accept RM`s payment structure.

I fully expect the club will say that the soldado signing was one of the replacements, probably contraua (sp) even tho they were need even if we were to keep bale. It's just the same shit really.

Yes. Only people mired for far too long in football would think RM's approach would be acceptable. The only problem with DL is that he is an actual businessman. And, with the greatest will in the world, I don't mean a second hand car dealer either. No wonder they're fucking terrified of him.

You could probably argue that we'll get most of them back through Soldado.

I just hope we can play them both next see season.

We are really not gonna go out and spend £100m in the last week of the transfer window.

a) we sell Bale & replace him with a player
b) we sell Bale & get on with it
c) we don't sell Bale.

c) all the way for me.

We might not spend £100m but if Bale goes for big money we'll def spend a lot to replace him that be sure of and JJ has said as much.

Willian has been making noises about leaving Russia already, maybe levy would go for him to appease Andre.
I think we can't really get a like for like replacement for Bale but maybe if we got a creative midfielder like dzagoev & added another striker/wing forward like Kevin Mirallas we'd be looking in pretty good shape & could concentrate on sorting the mess that's been left in defence

This is exactly what I mean, that is bollox mate, we need a 20+ striker and have done for years, so who is gonna create chances? When fit I would think avb is gonna deploy dembele Sandra and Pauli. Who out of them is gonna create chances for soldado? Lennon from the right? Don't think so, it's gonna be a very long season if we are laying our hopes on Lennon and chads to create everything for us. Very tough to watch.

Logic.

If Bale goes, then JJ's been right - against the grain - all along.

And he's very positive about what follows.

If JJ's wrong and Bale stays? Outstanding.

Win-win. Ish.

What am I even doing here at this time of day?? I have become an ITK addict, wandering around in the middle of ITK Discussion Street after dark, where only the shadiest and ugliest of the members are still up, begging for one last dose of ITK before I go to bed. And I've got work in under 4 hours! It's ruining my life!:coffee:

No he didn't, he said 3 in, one of which is soldado, he insinuated that contreua was one of the others, that leaves one more! Bales position I would think.
