Great read and brings back some funny memories.

As a member for 9 years ( although only a poster for 3), I remember it all, starting with Ben, Noodles, Jurgen the German etc.

Actually seems quite tame now in comparison as far as people "ITK" are concerned, but the banter remains!

I still think the adiepf game was the funniest. What an absolute douchebag, he kept getting upset and then wouldn't post for a day or two, then always seemed to have a new paragraph to tell everyone once he'd been out walking his dogs!

Yeah. I think this stuff is incredibly interesting Rob. As I didn't realize the SC was that old (and I've been around since the 2005 expansion of the site). And I just found out about TopSpur and that was really fascinating.

I think it will be a great read.

Great stuff @HappySpur ! Really enjoyed reading it and reminiscing about transfer windows past. As someone from Singapore, ITK was the closest we could get to the club we love.

Am assuming that there will be further episodes, from 2012?

Always rem the financial itk, that was you right? Thought those, together with other random itk, were the best!

Someone else shd also do a transfer forum history and chronicle classic jokes, A&C sexual fetishes (and cryptics), why everyone references mr pink's taxi driver, why ryantegan was once an itk, all the most "winner" jokes, the changing ratings, where hottie went (real qn!) etc...

Do you mean Jim Duggan's TopSpurs? Is there a link then between TopSpurs and SC?

Echo the sentiments of everyone else. Great thread and read. Had started following this site since 2011/12 and during the summer the ITK and transfer forum would always keep me entertained at work.

Have always wondered and seems best time and place to now ask, who was Danchev? Have always seen him mentioned wrt to Berbatov and people have made jokes (I think) about being a Danchev. Tried to research but I didn't find any certified info, was he Berbatov's agent or something?

Aye, it was. Someone asked who Gutterboy was back earlier in the thread. Well, that was Dan's account on GloryGlory.

As a Chris Morris fan, and somewhat admirer of 'Nathan Barley', I have to say I never saw the 'Rise of the Idiots' nod. My old English Literature teacher would be disheartened, so quite the shaming experience all round. But fun. And fair.

So great spot, Happy. And great thread. Proud to have you as my sole follower!

Fantastic work Happy.

So glad I stumbled upon this site one summer many years ago. The ITK back then was the hook for me, still is to a degree, but the banter, laughs, and the fair and even handed modding of the site really make SC the brilliant site it is.
