I've done some digging and according to Wiki it seems only Fulop and Davis were signed on Fridays that summer but Mendes was down as the day before Davis so it's possible they were announced together. Taino and Routledge were signed on Friday 1st of July 2005 but it seems Arnesen was on gardening leave from early June

I changed the article. Sorry to have been rude yesterday mill. I sent a PM to explain

Brilliant @HappySpur.

Could you do a follow up on Adipief and Lukaku on a precontract 1000%, and anything akqayid/Neil Eatson related?

I changed the stupid article. Seriously I regret doing this so much and will never make this kind of effort for the site again. It's just depressing seeing the nitpicking.

Don't worry about it biglad really enjoyed that, was like a journey back through transfer window and ITK time. Was a huge effort on your part.

The insane one I remember from COYS was maybe the January 2008 window, when some joker on there called Hoofharted said there was going to be a 10am press conference announcing the £50m double signing of Lucho Gonzalez and Jose Bosingwa.

The place went bananas that day, but obviously wasn't the remotest bit true.

I wasn't around in 2004, but I did look. Most of this site didn't really roll out until 2005. I think it was just Rob and a select few during development during most of Arnesen's slew of signings in 04. So I can't vouch for Arnesen's relationship to FTF. If you can find links, cool

I was actually only trying to help you didn't realise you were going all to get all pre menstural about it though

Great stuff HappySpur (y).

Fun Time Friday was definitely related to Arnesen's habit of bringing in some random new player and announcing it on a Friday. That is where his nickname of Fun Time Frankie came from (although almost all of his signings turned out to be shit :(). I was a regular on here at the time and the excitement was palpable as you never knew when you would wake up to a Limbersky, Hallfredsson, Davenport, Fulop, Staltieri, Pamarot, Mido or Edson Silva Sousa.

Exciting times :poop:.

You can see how it seems like nitpicking though right? You know, the bit where you pick the nits?

It's a great read and should be left as such.

I just don't get why you'd suggest it's 'cool' to do something when it's clearly not. I certainly never meant to upset him, I agree it's a great article and said so in my first post
