This is the propaganda that perpetuates mediocrity and lack of ambition. 'we can't spend because we'll do a Leeds.' Rubbish.

What you fail to realise is that we're owned by an investment company who's MO is to fatten us up ready for sale. It is absolutely in ENICs interest to make us as successful as possible, as that raises the value of the club and guarantees them a big profit when they eventually sell.

Having us hovering around mid table and accepting mediocrity would be a massive failure for two of the most successful businessmen in the country. That's why we are building a bigger stadium to let us push forward on a sure financial footing. Until then you will have to suck it up and accept we're not on the same level as Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea in any way shape or form.

Chucking money at players with zero guarantee of making top four, whilst increasing our debt, is just idiots logic, but it's easy to stamp and moan about 'lack of ambition' when you don't have responsibility for the future of the club.

Do you think there will ever be a time when levy thinks fuck it! I said I'll back the new manager 100% and actually do it! And get the players he requested and not listen to the special deals.

Cue about 1000 optimistic ratings!

You cannot blame Levy for MM IMO. Third-party bullshit. It seems Villarreal and River Plate had problems, and they couldn't fix it.

Move on.

Couldn't disagree more. There's no risk to the club by spending, the only risk is to the profit they make when they sell. Simple as that.

Disagree we never learn on Third Party Ownership. Every time we've tried to sign a player with 3rd party ownership we have failed. They should have moved on pretty quickly when they realised the same issues were becoming apparent.

That's all well and good but then a simple "The Stadium is our priority and until that is achieved we wont be shelling out any money we don't make back on players." sort of statement would stop people wetting their pants somewhat.

We've also had record TV rights in the last two years from various deals from Sky/BT etc, bud none of this appears to go to our transfer budget?

I don't think many people are blaming him for this.

Only if by September 1st if we have not signed a good centre back with money we already have from previous sales and plus any further sales then Levy will have a lot to answer for.

I think they'll give it one more after enjoying this season and seeing what poch is building.

Surely they would be foolish to do so, they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I'm still confident on MS to be honest. It looks like this CB will be Fazio- a lot of journos in Spain seem to think we are going to pay his release clause.

I'd agree.. weclearly have a profile for the sort of player we can get.. contract running down, a younger player or a bit of a punt. We also have a profile we seem to be very unsuccessful with, 3rd party owned meaning we need to stump up extra cash as is the way of such things..the kind of logjams our competitors can chuck money at but we can't.
