I was asked this question today and it suddenly struck me, I've got absolutely no idea. I'm seeing that as a great thing and something we haven't had for years.

Hugo because, well he's Hugo!

Kane is obviously the poster boy and the headline grabber

Dembele is so important to our system

Lamela is effort personified

Eriksen is the orchestrator

Alli is the young great hope

But I settled on Alderweireld. An absolute Rolls Royce of a player. Stoke at home aside I've not seen him put a foot wrong all season.

It's great that we are in this position, the other sides have a nucleus of maybe 2/3 clear outstanding players and fan favourites but if Pochettino has done nothing else, it's made me love the whole squad which hasn't been the case for years. The future is bright!

Dier. His rise in ability and importance to the team in the last 8 months has been phenomenal.

I think Lamela and Kane jointly for me, almost impossible to choose between them. Both just leave everything on the pitch for the team. Also honourable mention to Rose for similar reasons.

Agree. And I love his 'don't give a shit' attitude too, the look he gave Yaya Toure at half time in the City game summed it up.

The thing is with this season we can't say who the best player is. In seasons gone by people would have said Bale, Modric or Berbatov for example as their favourite player as they were the best. I can't seem to pick my favourite this season because I love them all.

Lloris for just being a boss, Rose and Walker for their effort and improvement game by game, Trippier and Davies for adding more attack when needed, Jan and Toby for their beastly performances, Wimmer for being the perfect replacement for when Jan has been injured, Dier stepping in seamlessly into DM and his bromance with Alli, Alli for shining and being so instrumental to our team at the age of 19, Mousa has been a revelation this season and arguably one of our most influential players, Lamela for the amount of effort he puts in from the first whistle to the last, Eriksen still doing the business for us albeit with a slight hiccup of form in the middle of the season and Kane, well I don't really need to expand on him.

I think what I'm trying to say is that when asked I think people will struggle to just pick one player as the whole team, as a collective, have been the best seen for many decades.

I got a bit emotional there:cry:

I'll have to cheat and go for the great comedy duo of our time - The Alli and Dier show.

So different to just a few short years ago when it was hard to relate to any of the players... I found it just as hard to pick a favourite then but for the complete opposite reasons

True but there was always at least one stand out

Danny Rose

Edit - to elaborate, he gets the shit kicked out of him every game but always gives some back. He is up and down relentlessly, while his delivery could be improved I wouldn't trade him for anyone. Imo he has an incredible attitude and is a great left back. Shits all over Gibbs, Baines and Bertrand.

We've gone from a side that fans were struggling to identify with, to a team that has a number of players that you want to watch play and enjoy doing so. This makes it hard to pick a favourite.
It's not that long ago that we brought in so many players that we didn't know who was who.

This is also reflected on match days when it is often hard to choose a clear MOTM winner when they are several credible candidates

I love all of them. Special mention to Eric Dier though. Love the way this guy plays.

I don't have a favourite player because I'm not 8 years old.

If I was though I would have Kane posters all over my room.

If it comes to favourite person at the club it has to be Poch because he is the reason why we all love our squad.
