Difficult one, actually like the whole squad to be honest. Probably Harry edges it because I've been hanging on about him to anyone who didn't throat punch me with bordom for 7 years, and I turned out to be right beyond my wildest dreams for once. But non arebheros to me, I'm 33 now and cant look up to anyone born in the 90s, makes me feel sick. I'm at that stage

I saw someone on Sunday with "Team 16 Spurs" on the back of his shirt. Covers it for me, but would definitely give Toby player of the season, he's just been immense.

Eric Dier but in all honesty it was a VERY close call between him and about 5 others. Crazy to think when you think of the situation we found ourselves in 2 years ago.

Eric Dier without a doubt. Embodies the new Spurs to a tee. Will be captain once Hugo leaves in his 30s with winners medals

I was asked this question today and it suddenly struck me, I've got absolutely no idea. I'm seeing that as a great thing and something we haven't had for years.

Hugo because, well he's Hugo!

Kane is obviously the poster boy and the headline grabber

Dembele is so important to our system

Lamela is effort personified

Eriksen is the orchestrator

Alli is the young great hope

But I settled on Alderweireld. An absolute Rolls Royce of a player. Stoke at home aside I've not seen him put a foot wrong all season.

It's great that we are in this position, the other sides have a nucleus of maybe 2/3 clear outstanding players and fan favourites but if Pochettino has done nothing else, it's made me love the whole squad which hasn't been the case for years. The future is bright!
can you add a poll to this?

Eriksen for me love watching him play, so class.
Also think Rose is a beast.

Dembele for me Rolls Royce of a player makes shit look easy drifting past players. Now his hip problems seem behind him he is playing well again.

Special mention :)

Alli epitome of a spurs player at his age what he's doing this year is amazing.

Toby fixed what I thought was Unfixable in my lifetime. A Spurs defence.

Walker loyal, hard working, as fast as ever and having his best season.

Shit what about Kane .... Better stop there or I'll name the whole team

Isn't it great, (and so unusual) that we are all picking different players, or naming more than one because we can't choose? We have a fantastic team that will get better the longer it is together.

Dembele for me... He plays against paid professionals none of whom seem capable of getting the ball of him. The rest of the squad have been amazing.. But dembele on the ball taking the piss out of everyone is a joy to watch

Being Spurs fans we've only really known exciting attacking football. We don't know defense.

Well Toby has somehow made the art of defending exciting to Spurs fans. No greater praise can be given. The bloke is magic.

I'm 35 and haven't had a favourite player since Jurgen Klinsmann because I grew out of that sort of thing

Bingo

You're well cool.

Let's face it, we all spend our time watching football week in week out and willingly serenade teenagers (yes, there are thousands of grown men who sing to Dele Alli, let's not deny it), so how about we don't act like 'we're too grown up to have a favourite player'.

Anyway to answer the question, Lloris, Jan, Toby, Eriksen and Kane :shifty: Can't pick between 'em

It'd be really interesting to see a list of the most popular shirt names. I'd imagine Kane has the most but I bet it's tight.

I bet you it isn't... Kane is fast become the FA's poster boy and as he is set to be top scorer in the league all the kids will want Kane.
I have it on the good authority of the eight-year-olds I hang with (family -- nothing sinister), that Dele Alli is the new Harry Kane in the youthful world of football idolatry. They like new things and he's that, and he's cheeky.

The whole squad is so very likeable these days but I have a particular soft spot for our oft-unsung full-backs, Walker and Rose. Exemplary attitudes, total commitment, and I love them despite, or perhaps because of, their flaws. They're good enough to play in the Champions League.

I remember a few seasons ago there were threads complaining we don't like many of our players, we didn't have a favourite, we couldn't get excited about any of them. Now we struggle to pick a favourite we more or less love them all

Even the likes of Walker and Rose who have had plenty of criticism in the past are favourites, Toby is an instant hit, Kane is just as popular as when he first hit the scene, Lamela who the majority thought was a flop is now a favourite with his non-stop running, desire and nice play. The cheeky chappies of Dier and Alli, the focused Eriksen, Lloris who we all love. You could argue all day long. I wanted Dembele to leave this season, now I'm gutted if he's injured or not in the first eleven, how everything changes

It's that love I have for Eric. Plus he's kicking Henderson and wilshite out of a England spot. plus he's a leader. plus he's from my neck of the woods (CHAV = Cheltenham Average)
i thought chav was an acronym for 'Council housed & violent'

Toby definitely....
Maybe Kane.
Then Walker or Rose or Eriksen or Alli or Dembele or Lloris or Dier.

Personally my favourite has to be a trier
So I’ve got to go for Eric Dier
But then there’s the one the wife wants to kiss
Our cool dude Frenchman name of Huge Lloris
I’ll tell you the player my youngest son chose
Our pocket rocket left-back, little Danny Rose
If I was allowed four players, our Belgian hit squad
Jan, Toby, Nacer and Moose each gets the nod
For lung bursting passion, it’s hard to beat our Kyle
And for the way he’s stepped up, Wimmer makes me smile
Trippier and Davies from reserve bench to game rotation
Go on my Son, and don’t ignore Ryan Mason
Thirty million wasted? Just you wait and see
The baby-faced assassin, Erik’s in my top three
I’m not so religious but I’m Christian at the Lane
My favourite player is probably a Dane
But hold on a second, let me vote again
It’s Roy of the Rovers of course, known as Harry Kane
