It makes 100% sense that we are waiting until late in the window for Lo Celso, Sessengnon, and maybe now Fernandes because their valuations are high and there's much more pressure on their clubs to sell than for us to buy. Plus, it seems like we are the only club in for those three players and they want us. We have the leverage.

The worrying thing is our history in this regard. We just have so much baggage in fucking these situations up that it has the fanbase on pins and needles.

Seems like 2 from those 3 to me, but it could be we’re also bringing in Dybala and Bale while Juventus and Real Madeid are left timesharing Eriksen.

The little comment about replacing Llorente... I rather thought that between Kane, Son and Moura (and maybe Parrott) we were covered up front. I can’t imagine anything other than Dybala or bringing Llorente back - but we do sometimes get deals from nowhere. How much notice was there over Son?

I also think imo that the fernandes talk is to force betis hand.

Perhaps rather than waiting for final confirmation that hsi prefered destination isn't a goer and then start talking about a new contract all parties chose to talk about a contract that suited all parties beforhand in case his prefered destination doesn't come off,
If he leaves that's tah but if he stays the new contract is all agreed and ready to sign.

Lo Celso - Nada still cool
CE - not fully committed

Imagine if we were to swap CE for BF....and close deals for the other. Christ of almighty - what a window

That would make the most sense we have to presume he could leave after the window closes for a fee and to have someone in before and maybe that is where BF comes in.

Then the club are fools. Nothings agreed until it’s signed. Just like an incoming transfer too. Remember Willian?

Imo (and only opinion) he's waiting to see who else we bring in, be funny if that's what he's holding off for and one of them is his replacement.
