I’m guessing Poch wants to work on and integrate a player who long term is going to be a first team player, probably from the very off. Another season will delay that.

£20m ++ for a 20 year old. I'm a tightarse like Levy so would wait 6 months and lowball in Jan.
Who knows if he's Pochettino priority anyway. Seems like a Levy kind of buy to me

The ITK tells us we will finish the window with Ndombele, Lo Celso, Fernandes and Sessignon ready to play this season with a couple of exciting younger players in for the future, that ought to satisfy us, I'm quite impressed anyway.

I agree it would be great but we need to just hang back because as we are always a bump away from a meltdown.

Promising that there is movement though.

Wasn't there previous ITK that CE would only want to leave if it was for RM? If that is true then I can see how it really hampers our ability to bargain because it doesn't seem like RM are actually chomping at the bit for him.

Are Madrid waiting till after the window closes? They might think Levy will do a deal for half price if CE doesn’t sign the contract, rather than losing him for nothing next year. It could depend on if they sign Pogba?

Hmm so I'm assuming we set Eriksen a deadline to sign and it has passed, now we are going for a replacement proactively, and will try our best to sell Eriksen before the end of August. Fair play to Levy if true.

Yet, we think we are going to be able to get BF done in a week knowing Portuguese clubs are notoriously hard to deal with, and lo celso has been going on two months ?

Adding to that Trix’s info that we are where we were 2 weeks ago in relation to GLC...I’m not taking that as positive unless 2 weeks ago was before Betis supposedly ‘moved the goalposts’!

We are frequently told that things can change at anytime so for a contract to be agreed 'verbally', surely we would know that that means dinky doo.

The contract is offered once its in front of him.

So it's all looking like going down to deadline day. Wowzers.

A valid point, yet mitigated by the fact that Sporting have presumably been talking to clubs about selling Fernandes all window, and we may have been one of them. It's not like anybody is starting from first principles.

I also think it's a bit of a coincidence that Bale's options have been thwarted by RM.
