This might be all types of politically incorrect however I always get excited about a tall, leggy, African (descent). Since Vieira I've always wanted our own version. Mikel, Diaby, Toure etc.

As both JM and DL has said, not much (if at all) purchase activities in January. But, I expect deals to be firmed up for the summer under Poch there were 2 very possible deals, but that has all changed now.

A bit surprising given Mou's earlier track record, and the fact that we have some obvious problem areas.

If he's happy and believe in what we have for the remainder of the season, that's the most important thing though.

All I will say is two things. Before JM was appointed, I kept saying 1; he will not need huge cheque book to succeed. 2; he has developed a new brand etc of football he wants to introduce. I remember the neg ratings etc, but now I am proven right. It is not as clear as some think on type of players (names) we have nailed on. I would be very surprised if we didn’t acquire one/two players from France, and still expect Campos to be given some role. And do not for one minute think he is not recommending players.

We have an extensive list of names that are being closely monitored for the summer. As you have heard, JM rates Foyth highly. And he wants to look closely before deciding if he wants to bring in another CH. Remit scouts have been given; tall athletic technical players,

In closing. Do not have a go at DL for blank window. This is all about JM. Expect certainly key players to be acquired early enough for pre-season. JM has made this very crystal clear to the board. He wants to prove he does not need a huge cheque book to succeed. And he wants to develop talent.

This is going to be one hell of a ride- I wasn't too keen on JM when I first heard about his appointment but so far nothing can really be faulted and everyone appears ro be on the same page at the moment- lets enjoy it why we can!

Disappointing that we will more than likely blank another window but I can't say it isn't to be expected. I see the 'Summer targets will be here for preseason' promise is banded about again by Levy lol.

Let's just hope Jose can keep our players firing and improving in the second half of the season then.

I am absolutely fine with exploring Foyth and Japhet first with Toby and Jan staying.

I just think a CDM is an absolute must with more technical ability than Dier and Sissoko.
A RB would be a bonus. Rest of the talent is in the squad.

I appreciate that Jose didn't want to make radical changes from the outside looking in, but at the same time I would have assumed he would have been surprised with how much the likes of Rose and Dier for example would have regressed. Possibly even the Belgian CBs. We have looked a lot better since Jose has arrived but the weaknesses in CM and at full back are still obvious. You'd think if we sorted that in Jan we'd have top 4 locked down.

He must think he can get Dier back to his best - DM looks so vital to me.

Literally as soon as this thread explodes into life, we have one poster taking it into Spurs Chat and another asking ITK questions.

Those two should drop to their knees and thank their lucky stars that I am a kind hearted soul with a massive reluctance to just have at it with the banstick.

Not all that disappointed if we don’t bring anybody in in January.

While I agree that we need reinforcements, i’d much rather get them at the end of the season, giving Mourinho time to properly assess what he already has to work with.
