Thanks for the info as always Trix. If he's concerned about a lack of technique (and I'm sure most would agree he's right to be) it's odd that he persists in picking some of the least technical players in the squad, ie Dier & Sissoko rather than Lo Celso & Ndombele (or even Skipp & Winks). Appreciate that they need to bed in and that Ndombele keeps getting niggly injuries but the only way they are going to settle in and get up to speed is to play them.
I might be well off the mark but I interpret 'technical training' differently to 'technical talent'. I don't think he's saying Jose is surprised at our players' lack of natural technical talent - though Dier and Sissoko are definitely weaker in that area - but rather the lack of technical training in specific match situations/tactics.

It could be something as simple as the body shape of the players when they receive the ball under pressure or make tackles. This is something that in theory can be able to be drilled into most players regardless of their technical talent, but may have been neglected under Poch's tenure.

I don't think Jose is going to go out a sign a bunch of pure technicians. I think he's going to drill specific techniques into the existing players so that they can implement his ideas on the pitch.

Yep, having reread it I agree

Eze been on the radar for quite a while. This is not a JM inspired deal(should it happen), although I'm told he rates him highly.

On JM he believes the biggest issue we have as a side is a severe lack of technical and more so tactical training, where we have been heavily focused on fitness and intensity. He believes given time to show the players a more disciplined approach to their respective roles and we will improve a lot with what we have.

He wants to move a couple out and get more out on loan and actually playing.

He says he can't really assess what we have without seeing how they react to his methods, and he can't do that until we have more time between games.

That's all fair enough but the likes of Wanyama aren't going to turn into bloody Kante after a few training sessions. There are a number of players that MUST go in Jan. And those players will need to be replaced. If only for the period of adjustment.

Eze, I am told QPR want to keep him for play-off places. Amos as part of deal is correct. I do not know anything about JC as part of a loan, though it makes sense, their manager talking to us on couple of our younger players, and Skipp being one. But not much chance with him as JM rates him. We have a brilliant relationship with everyone at QPR.

Buying Eze presumably as no.10 raises Q marks about Lo Celso's role long-term...

This makes a LOT of sense. Cheers Trix.
