Dortmund have always been keen to blood and trust their youth, but you have to remember that Dortmund have for many years been virtually guaranteed top 3 in the Bundesliga and are stable.Have to say I'm getting a little irked by Jose's comments on Parrot. Dortmund's front 3 were all under 20 & one was 17 & they still managed to give PSG a game, so we won't know if Parrot has got it unless he's allowed to play in games like this.
We are an utter mess this season (compared to recent years) and are on fragile ground. I am not sure it is the right environment to play Troy in. If he plays a few games and plays poorly because of the pressure and expectation that WILL be there, then that can set him back.
He could be a success, of course, but we do not see what the training staff see during the week, or in test matches. If there is any chance of it going pear shapred then we should show patience. There is a good chance that over the summer and into next year we will have more stability and an identitiy that he can come into. Play Cup games and earn his way into the team.
I don't have the answers, I can only guess, but if Mourinho says he isn't ready, I think he has more knowledge that we can ever have.
