Calm down mate. We’re all despondent about Kane’s & Son’s injuries but that’s what we are left now.

I’m sure that Jose, with all his experience , will conjure some alternative tactics and formations with our available players, to try and get the best results possible.

I’m not too confident of going much further in the CL thIs season but despite the obstacles that we have to face from now until the end of the season , with the inconsistencies in the teams around us in the league table, we have as good a chance, of qualifying for next season’s CL as well as winning the FA Cup this season, as any of the other competing clubs do.
I hope your right but surely anyone who understands football sees how short we’ve been left by our chairman who I might add is asking for payment of next seasons season tickets before this season is even over and put them up he’s a fucking disgrace. Please if you all think he’s doing a good job I’m baffled he is absolutely taking the piss out of us Spurs fans!!!

Huge paradox with something Mourinho said in todays press conference. First he wouldn`t necessarily agree on that it was a lucky draw and that Leipzig is an easier opponent than e.g. Real or Barcelona. Then asked about Leipzigs manager he summarised his career by saying after Leipzig he`s probably ready for the next step/level.. Off course Leipzig is an easier opponent now. And Mourinho is probably trying to make the feeling of being underdog now. Which could turn out to be smart.
I think you maybe are complicating what he said. He just meant that Leipzig doesn't have the history that Barca/Real have, but that they are a tricky opponent now in this moment. Separately, of course there are different levels of prestige, which doesn't directly speak to easy/hard draws.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Did anyone hear the Nagelsmann question during the press conference? It was really cringeworthy. Seriously? Does the fact that Nagelsmann was linked with the Spurs job before Poch was sacked put pressure on Mourinho? What was he going to say - yes? The man has won 25 odd trophies. FFS.

As you patronisingly put it, most of us do not understand football. So to understand it, we have to agree that Levy has left the club short and does take the piss out of us fans and does fuck all for the club, yeah, I get it. I that's why we yearn for owners like Man City's.

I really fancied us to get through this tie but since the injury to Kane and now Son, I must say I’m really struggling.

It’s a funny old game though.

I don't understand football.

I was quite happy with the run to a CL final.
I was quite happy with the massive amount of money we spent this year and the quality it has got us.
I am quite happy our chairman had the bollocks to take action to save our season.
I am quite happy that, despite the lack of trophies so far, we've naturally grown into the top tier, which no team has done without financial doping in yonks.
Utterly, utterly baffling I'm sure.

Anyway on this game, I have no idea how he sets up, but we do have options.

How can you have pictures of Gedson and Bergwijn who just arrived yesterday but none of Tanganga who has been here all his life?

I know mate. For some reason this formation builder site doesn't have photos of our academy youth.
:( Also, Steve and Gedson still have their old clubs shirts. They haven't updated to Spurs kit yet.

No we’ve got so called good owners but they refuse to invest on the football pitch and Spurs to the next level. All they care about are the pound coins. I just wish they would invest for once in the team, managers and let the couching staff run the football side of things instead of being fantasy football owner/manager. That’s why Poch has gone that’s why Mitchell went (and where is Mitchell now ahh sporting director at Leipzig strange that) but Levy wouldn’t back them or support them they get sacked. Just leave football managers alone Daniel and fuck off up stairs and maybe you will benefit from it. But no he is a bell end who is fucking us up on the football pitch.

Personally id start a front 3 of sess moura and bergwijn. Sess played ok there against bayern and scored a good goal. We will need pace on the break and that front 3 can press high up the pitch. Also sess can help out defensively and will allow usnto swap to 5 at the back at times. Allowing tanganga to tuck in when we haven't got the balkm Bring Alli on for ndombele/winks later in the game to find the pockets when game is stretched and tired legs out there. We need to take our chances. We can do it and got players capable of scoring. Can we keep them out, that is the question. Hopefully the injury has a positive impact on the squad and gets them to raise the levels a little.

I’d think that both Winks and Davies start. If you saw the training vid today, Tanganga, Jan, Sess, Gedson & Ndombele all trained away from the main group. That possibly suggests that they will not start but will have bench places. But who knows now? Personally I’d go with:

lloris
Aurier/Tanganga Tony Sanchez Davies
Winks
LoCelso Ndombele
Moura Dele/Lamela Bergwijn

After Jose’s presser though, we could see a totally new formation!!

Yup. And how can a totally new formation look like?
