I know Jose has said that he doesn't think Parrott is ready but I'm choosing the team I'd like to see. Even if it's 45 minutes I just want to see if it makes a difference having a striker up top. If it doesn't work and he can't do it then that's fine and we move onto trying other things.

So If Lamela is out or unable to start go with Dele up front and guess Ndombele in front of Winks and Lo Celso or start with Parrott and Dele playing behind him. But play Lo Celso and Winks together in the middle, play Bergwijn and Moura on flanks.

Anything that doesn’t include Davies and Dier. We’re going backwards having those two as first team starters and they’re not good enough.

We need a focal point up front. Jose needs to play Parrott regardless of whether he thinks he's ready or not.

It's a real shame Sess isn't ready and available as a forward option - no one seems to know what his best position is - I happen to think it's LW, but we need him available and motivated to play to show what he can do there.

At the moment it seems like a waste of £25m.

I'd like to see Parrott get a chance, even if it's off the bench, just so that at some point we have a physical presence in the 9 position and see if we can create anything off of that.

For what it's worth Piatek has 1 goal in 5 games - so maybe it would have been pointless bringing him in. Better to wait.

How many chances and goals have the players around him scored? Giroud also has 1 in 5 but he has occupied centre backs

It doesn't matter about the particular personnel but we have to field our strongest possible team because the FA Cup is the only thing we can realistically win this season, so this game is absolutely crucial to us retaining any interest this season. Pragmatism is the key word.

Parrott scored one and came off at half time, so unless it was injury, reckon he is on frame for some role after all. Likely from bench.
