If we are as interested as we read we were and with Levy’s and Comolli’s relationship we should stand a good chance.

If the 10M price is true we have to grab him. Such a bargain and we absolutely need another DM.

We should sign him and sell Sissoko to make most that fee back. Sissoko’s work rate is great but in a Jose team he just doesn’t really fit in anywhere.
He’d be a useful back up DM and he’s young so can improve over time.

The problem with that is Sissoko is dependable to a degree, we know what we get from him and he can be trusted (not in an attacking sense).

If Sangare comes in and struggles or finds it a big step up we then only have Winks and Hojbjerg to rely on.

I agree he’s dependable but you need to be more cutthroat. I’d keep him but we are in a situation where on a strict budget and homegrown issues. I just don’t see Sissoko now as anything but a guy who comes on and works hard, he’s not a DM, not good enough on the ball to transition the play quickly enough to play alongside a DM. He’s also 31 now.

So we swap Sissoko, a French international, for a player who currently can't get in the Ivory Coast squad, behind the likes of Christian Koffi and Habib Maiga. This is probably a really good idea.

Logic of this post is just stupid.

Even when you take into account agents fees and his wages over the next 4-5 years?
Come on mate, it's a bargain and I would argue we could do with a DM. He plays for Toulouse he's not gonna want 200k a week is he. If he doesn't end up being great in all likelihood we'll still make a profit on him.

He's a talented kid and you can see him going to the likes of Newcastle, tearing it up and us being linked a year or two later for £30-40m.

There's no risk for that price, the only issue is the HG one.

I don't think it is to be honest. We have no idea if Sangare could make the step up or struggle just like the others we've bought from France.

Sissoko is a safe player for us right now. I agree we need to upgrade at some point but if this goes wrong then we'd be left with limited options.

You'd have thought all the Ligue 1 clubs would have seen it, but they just don't seem to have spotted it.
