Don’t get what the fuss is about Sissoko, Ndombele and Aurier would be the first three out the door for me, and Gio and offered nothing this season.
Keep Gio, sell the others. Think Gio has been very unfortunate and has come back at the worst time as the team have been all over the place. He's got enough about him for another coach to work with. Ndombele can def go for me though

Sissoko yea the others have shown their worth. But the flat cap brigade want the “top boys” and “good lads playing” than actual talented footballers.

But now we need to try to get our money back for them. That’s what worries me.

Well if Leicester put a shit load of goals past us it could knock Liverpool out of the top 4. One silver lining in what looks like a depressing day.

Did Mason just praise certain players for turning up to training and turning up to games?

Surely that confirms they've basically refused to play.

Serge and Sissoko have had their heads out the door for a long long time

They need to be sold so im not to bothered but its amazing how quick this has fallen apart when getting rid of jose was supposed to give us a boost and it just seems as toxic as it was before.

The Mason appointment has been a complete fucking disaster. I don’t disagree with Mourinho’s sacking but he never should have been replaced by a total novice.

Bollocks, am watching the Giro but that's not going to finish before kick off.

But I'll go straight from watching one uphill struggle to another, but at least in the Giro the wheels stay on..

It was always going to be the case when we appointed him. Said it back in February when people were clamouring for him. He was a rookie player coming into the team when Dier and Kane were already established, he also played second fiddle to Winks and Alli - he was never going to challenge them or drop them out the team.

I wanted Jose out and I don't think we'd have been up to much anyway but picking faves will go a long way to pissing certain players off.

Yeah agreed. Before he was appointed I said the problem could be that he'll stick Dele straight back into the site. Took a couple of games but he did eventually. I didn't foresee him doing the same with Dier and Winks too.
It's not just the players themselves that feel a certain way about it either but when they start seeing other teammates suddenly dropped out of existence for not only the managers mates but also (quite clearly) mediocre players it may not go down well either.

I credit Mason for getting us to play more encouraging football, but some of his decisions have been nothing short of mind-boggling.

A shocking, shocking team selection. Truly shocking. Why not just go for it?

Put lamela and moura in for some legs and aggression? Winks is just a pointless selection. He will literally force us to be passive. Its unbelievable.

I was very unlikely to watch the game before the team news, now, I dont know if I can force myself to put it on.

What a horrible end to a horrible, horrible season.

At least Gio looks like he wants a career as a professional footballer and not just a kick about with his mates down the park with no tackling.

I don't know mate I'm only guessing based on stuff that was doing the rounds last week. There was definitely a bit of talk that Mason was completely overlooking certain players in training. Spends lots of time laughing and joking with the players he played with etc.
Apparently it’s Sherwood mark 2 but without the toxic masculinity and canteen “banter”. The Atheltic will have something on it in a few weeks.
