Watching the Euros and how well PEH and Delany were doing did make me wonder if they could/should be a club pair. According to wiki Delany is about to enter the last season of his Dortmund contract.

The only one who is close is the Japanese lad

nuno wants a proper look at the squad and the squad is too big for him it will be trimmed once he has taken a closer look at everyone

lacroix , plus the boy who was on loan at Fulham are options , priorities this summer are defenders plus decent back up for Harry

People are going to forget that Sissoko, Aurier and Lamela apparently asked to leave, and that Winks was close to leaving to Valencia. Toby wants to leave too.

Therefore I don't see much negative with this news. Nuno was always going to look at the squad first before selling, he needs to make sure he doesn't already have the pieces in his squad to work in his system/plans before letting them go. He'll soon figure out who doesn't fit.

Other than Kane, Nuno won't want to keep players who want to leave or who haven't been impressed enough with his hiring.

As fans we see what we see from the outside- from what we've been told and seen in reports a number of players could/should head for pastures new.
Nuno assessing everyone this week of course is the right way to do things.
D1's ITK coupled with other snippets over the last week or so is very interesting that the DOF has had talks with many people and for the most part leaks are not forthcoming which might see a surprise arrival.
The Euros end very soon and then after the calming down from whatever the result later today, IMHO I expect to see a lot movement of players to grab headlines instead of being lost in the mix.
(I asked some questions in the Lamela thread as to not dis-rail this one as I've not seen him talked about here)

Beginning to feel that the itk of importance this year is the stuff on the strategy, great to hear of all the players we're talking to but by all accounts that's Fabio's tactic so level heads and all that.
I'd hope with the priorities D1 mentioned there will also be at least a tilt at a midfielder given we are expecting a few to leave although perhaps that's what Nuno is running the rule over.

Can’t see us getting both if we also get the Japanese lad. But any two from those 3 would be great. Add to that someone like Pjanic and a Kane backup and we’re in decent shape IMO.

Things are going to be very different this Summer as far as what I pass on is concerned. I'm hearing so many names at the moment it's very difficult to work out which are serious targets, which are fall back options and which are just agent links. It's litterally all being leaked to the press. This means I'll only be posting about those that are quite far along in the process, unless it's a player I have a more direct link with. I've posted a week or so back regarding Tommy and fwiw that could be pushed through at any time because we are close, and have been for a week or so.

One thing I will say is we have had two enquiries for Kane,(not official bids) and they were both met with the same answer. "We are not selling him". Now we all know money talks so it's not definitive, but I'd say it's unlikely he moves this window.

Oh and again because I'm still seeing talk of it. Bale is not coming back.
