That's exactly my point. While not winning 3 or 4-0, I can see the difference from last season and the improvements. I can see a plan and I can see how much more confident we are when defending.
I think this is the part most obvious so far compared to last. While the West Ham game last year wrecked the confidence out of us and we never recovered, we are quite adamant to defend as a team this season, and very importantly, superior fitness through the 90 minutes.

Genuinely believe inviting teams onto us after we took the lead (no matter how early we scored) put too much pressure on the defence and they just cracked more often than not.

With Skipp as added protection in front and Tanganga proving he isn't easy to get past, plus not being camped on the edge of our box for 90 minutes we look so much more assured. I never thought Dier and Sanchez were bad defenders, just not good enough to invite pressure all game and hold out due to the likelihood of an error or two at some stage.

Come on mate, it was abit ott surely? I gave him a little clap etc but standing up clapping and chanting his name like he was some baller for us?!

Danny Rose on the other hand...
No mate, he had that 2 season spell where he was dragging us through games, he's always been popular with the crowd, and we didn't get the chance to give him a proper send off.

Fair fucks to Spurs fans, I say.

Plus he gave us one last ballooned shot into row Z :D

Edit: I love Danny Rose, mind... I'd buy him a pint and we'd have a proper chat about how much better it is in Yorkshire :D

Really impressed with Sanchez and Dier this season. I take back all my criticism they have proved me wrong they can defend. So happy with our start.

Mate I literally got into a back forth because the moany old ****s behind me were giving him dogs abuse in a game a couple of years ago. I was signing his praises before the game today even!

Standing ovation is a bit ott still. It’s not that deep though.

I definitely think Mourinho wanted to drop so as to create space for the counter, but we couldn’t handle it. Here we have a better balance and we look comfortable in defence.

BUT… there will always be Games where a weird deflection, corner, dodgy penalty happen and we cannot rely on winning 1-0, so we will need to create more and score more.

I am however very pleased with the 3 wins and how the team has bonded. Once the TW shuts and the international period over the real season starts and we will see what squad we truly have!

3 games. 3 wins. 3 goals. 3 clean sheets. Top of the table and we've already played one of the toughest fixture of the season. And some are still complaining. Only Spurs fans. Nuno has only just started and got a fabulous start to the season. Are people seriously expecting us to be playing champagne football this early on in his tenure. Poch took the best part of a season to click.

Excellent result today and not a bad performance. Considering we've yet to start a new signing and, other than Skipp, we're starting the same players as last year, I can't understand any grumbling. It's a new system, new manager, and loads of upheaval during the off-season. To add to that, if you're watching the Wolves / Man Utd game, it'll give some context to our performance against them, i.e. we were a lot better than this Utd team.
Spot on ! basically same players from last season, yet different attitude, far fitter far more competitive. Still loads of work to do but I am happy when players give all
Happier days to come

After a slightly worrying start when their wide players were giving us some trouble thought we settled down and got the result needed, some good performances again , Dier & Sanchez proving us all wrong so far.
If Nuno proves as good as Arthur Rowe we should be in for a good season.

And Moussa deserved his round of applause for the hard work he put in over the last few seasons.

Not going to say we don’t deserve to be top, it hasn’t exactly been pretty but winning when are not playing well is a good habit to get into. That said lot of work to be done especially in midfield. Don’t think Kane is fully fit yet.

One thing as I said at half time disappointed the the crowd inside the stadium, very quiet which is a shame. The crow at the massive new stadium could be such an asset, the place holds the sound and can be very intimidating to opponents, but the fans have to our part.

Don’t want to see any form of Highbury the library at our ground thank you very much.

Sounded pretty good on TV for the most part.

Aside from fitness the biggest change from Jose is Skipp, he is doing that job in front of the back four and last year we had no one doing that role competently.
