Exactly this is what I want from a preseason friendly. I’m not interested in the result it’s meaningless. The best result is the players get match fit and come through uninjured.

Mate, it's pre-season ffs.

Not to mention that what we have done is improve the squad massively.

Last season, Conte would've turned to the bench during a game like this and seen the grand total of fuck all to help him change things up.
Now he looks to the bench and has a plethora of options that are just as good as those playing, if not better, different at least.

I think you squad build best when you buy players for the first XI, buying squad players doesn't work. You can buy a youngster but you should recruit quality on top of quality.

I don't find this Summer's signings very exciting, Bentancur and Kulusevski were legit disruptive purchases for the first XI
