I disagree Chas because the best manager in the world will win fuck all if he has a squad full of shite players to pick a team from. Sanchez, Dier and Davies have been shite under Poch, Jose, Nuno and now Conte yet they are still here stinking the whole fucking place out. They needed to be upgraded years ago. And that goes for Hugo too.

How many managers have had any success under Levy? None at all. So why the hell do you expect things to be any different for Conte??

It’s up to Levy to provide the resources for his manager to build a squad capable of challenging for honours. And Levy has failed to do this for any of his managers in his 23 miserable fucking years of ownership.

No manager on the planet will get a tune out of this squad and that has already been proven beyond any reasonable doubt. And that Chas is all down to Daniel Levy.

But hey, we are getting a new go-kart track under the south stand. Woo-pee-fucking-do!!!!

May not win a cup but sure as hell should beat sheff utd reserves

We play Sunday's team that beat Chelsea and played so well we win this game comfortably but no we completely change the players. or most of them and we play like a side that have never played together before. Nobody knew who they should pass to and when they did it went to the opposition. If it had been in an early round I could accept it but it was for a place in the QF one away from the SF. Regardless of the PL at the weekend we should have played our strongest side and we would now looking forward to a home tie against Blackburn in the QF.

utterly disappointed with the team. even with the changes, we should have trashed them.

we showed no fight. no desire to win.

We weren't aggressive enough
We didn't dive in for the 50-50s.

it seems that the players were protecting themselves like this match wasn't worth putting in their 100%.

we didn't deserve to win. and we only have ourselves to blame. poor performance.

Im struggling to name a player who earned his pay. Perisic maybe. Moura was decent given his lack of play.

Funny thing is we all know what's coming next.

Rested team for the weekend's game = midweek cup exit.

Followed by those rested players then putting in a poor performance for the weekend game.

It has happened far too often at this club and its because standards are not set across the board.

Cup exit? Oh that's ok, we still have CL to qualify for...

United, Liverpool and whoever else take a cup exit very seriously.

We used to. I wonder why that changed?

Can’t be a fan of this club much longer. It’s been 25 years too many. It’s just not fun, I don’t give a fuck about winning even. it’s just the lifelessness surrounding the club. It’s soul sucking, it really is.

Absolute garbage. Again we fail to deliver. Senior management needs to be held accountable for years upon years of failure, manager after manager. Levy needs to be held accountable.
If "for years upon years failure manager after manager, Levy needs to be held accountable"

Did you post this tonight or on Sunday evening?

See, the one constant in the debacle such as tonight is the players.

Levy doesn't train them, he buys players identified by Paratici or, and the Manager.

The squad is changing and taking shape for the better, and losses like tonight's happens to every Premier League side.

Levy doesn't tell the management not to take the cup seriously though.
Our second string should be able to beat their second string

This result isn’t a shock - we’ve seen performances and results like this for years

Time and again we struggle when we rotate or lose a couple of key players

it speaks to lack of investment in the squad.

It’s why Conte suggested we need 7-8 windows to remedy it

Arsenal are proof that if you do that you can succeed, but we just don’t have that clarity and continuity of planning

Disgusted. This is the most angry I’ve been this season if not for for years. The reason we haven’t won a trophy for years is because we don’t try to win anything.
And don’t even get me going about the goal we conceded. Sanchez and Dier call themselves defenders?Make a bloody tackle.
The FA Cup was the only possibility we had of winning a trophy this season. If we REALLY wanted to win the FA Cup then we would play our best 11 from the start. Why didn’t the starting line up from a morale boosting win against Chelsea on Sunday not start tonight. What are we saving them for? The game against Wolves? This was a more important game than the Wolves game. We’re not going to win the league. If we lose against Wolves there’s still 12 games to go to make up points but lose in the FACup and that’s it.
What did we expect with a lineup that had one player (Lucas)playing his first game in months, another player(Porro) starting only his 2nd game in England and started with almost the same back line that lost 4-1 at Leicester. And leave our best striker and CB on the bench!!
We had a golden opportunity to progress to the QF tonight. We knew SheffUtd would make changes because promotion to the PL is their most important aim. Knowing that logic says put out our best team get at them early and put the game away, they’d lose interest and we could make changes.
We blew it big time tonight.
We don’t deserve to win anything and we will never win anything until we treat the next game, regardless of what competition, as our most important game of our season.
Even more disgusted since I’ve seen the QF draw. We’re a club of losers.

Sorry mate I’m as disgusted as I’ve ever been but this loss can’t be laid at Levy’s door.
The only other game this season Kane hasn’t started was Preston. He’s played in every other match, including through illness. Why in the world has Conte decided to drop him for such an important match?

This is 100% on Conte and the players, not Levy. He underestimated the opposition, and continued to fail to adapt to the circumstances in-game. He fielded a starting XI of players who lack chemistry, cohesion and minutes this season. He did not position the team to win the match, and has let the club down massively.
