Welcome to the Sheffield United Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

We need to go strong but still have good rotation.
Forster
Romero - Dier - Lenglet
Porro - Sarr - Skipp - Perisic
Danjuma - Richy - Son

A good performance could really help keep the momentum going and give an ever better feel around the place ahead of weekends game and Milan next Wednesday.

No problem with the second string starting this one. It's an important game but we should have too much for them either way, and failing that should look to the bench after an hour:

Forster
Tanganga---Sanchez---Lenglet
Porro ------------------------Sess
Skipp-------Sarr
Danjuma-----------------Son
Richarlison

Give Richy a start in his best role for a change imo.

I imagine in reality we'll see Perisic LWB to keep him happy and the front three juggled to Richarlison off of the right and Son up front, and Danjuma on the left instead.

Either way, Dier probably needs a rest while he's playing alright, and we need to rest Kane and Hojbjerg whererever we can as we'll need them in the Prem and AC game playing back-to-back.

Not sure I could take going out of the cup with a full 2nd string side against lower opposition

Forster
Romero Dier Lenglet
Porro Sarr Skipp Perisic
Kulusevski Richarlison Danjuma

Sounds like they may look to rotate themselves with an eye on promotion. I'd rotate, but not too much just a few changes here and there.

I'd love to think we had a coach with the balls to tell Harry to sit one out, but doubt it would happen. If Harry starts and hits a hatrick in the first 5 mins, he still won't be subbed until 70mins at earliest. But I'd like to see this team out there.

Glad to see it’s being aired on bbc 1 … Sheffield aren’t weak; we need a strong team to beat them. Kane will definitely play at some stage I reckon… as others have said: continue the winning momentum…

Agreed. They have their best cb out too and their best gk.
I think rotstion is good but only using players who are going to be hungry to impress, like Porro, danjuma, sarr etc

I wanna win this cup - im playing our best team perhaps with Porro, Perisic and Rich (instead of Kulu). Win the game then make subs.

I think some are underestimating Sheff Utd. We saw yesterday, Bristol City did well, Blackburn beat Leicester. Cant take this for granted. We should win if we remain professional but this is a really good opportunity for us to progress and win this damn cup.

It’s funny. So many people complain we don’t rotate and that we get injuries from lack of rotation then go and pick our best first 11 which they will then pick to play against Wolves at the weekend then milan then the league again.
We need to rotate some players, we have a strong squad now let’s use some of it.

I'd put mostly our strongest side out but I'd put Perisic and Sarr in.

Rotation has to be done, it's just we have done full XIs or close to a full XI being changed in the past and messed up.

Trying not to get too ahead of myself as we have to get through tonight first, however it's hard not to notice who is left if we do go through. Aside from the two Manchester clubs we should be beating everyone left home or away. If United go through tonight v West Ham then best scenario is a Manchester derby in the quarters. This is the first year in a LONG time where I feel like the FA Cup is a realistic, winnable cup for us.

Fuck that, full strength and lets try and win the damn thing. If we get into a comfortable position then change it up. 5 subs allows teams to do just that now.

Sarr for Skipp and Perisic for Davies is pretty much full strength to be fair. Would be good to rotate those guys.
