The economics of relying on concerts etc do not add up, all gate receipts from Spurs matches goes to the club & broadcasting revenue & PL prize money, gate receipts from e.g NFL go to the NFL not Spurs, we make money on catering but no way can it compare to PL match revenue.
Same with concerts , Spurs will make some money but Beyonce and her production company want to make a load of money for themselves .

PS In the last accounts non-football events like NFL, Rugby at the stadium contributed £32 million out of total income of £444 million, £32 mil just about pays the wages of Kane , Son and a couple of others. :)
That's good then. Isn't it?

Are Brighton a better side since Potter left, and will Chelsea now be a better side without him?

Potter would be a disaster.
You could argue that Potter got the ball rolling at Brighton sufficiently to o be rewarded with a high profile move ( not saying I want him)

The thing with coincidentally needing a new DoF and manager at the same time is that it's a fantastic opportunity for a club in a rut to go back to the drawing board and make things right but you just know we'll contrive to fuck it up somehow. It'll be like a shit catch 22 where the next DoF on "the list" won't want the next coach on "the list" and that coach won't want to work with the next DoF and we'll end up working our way down both lists, pissing people off as we go and we'll probably end up with incompatible coach and DoF who can't agree on how we should be playing because they're the only 2 fools who would even pick up the phone.

Yes it's very good but that other income is never going to overtake the main source of income which is the football team so it is in the interests of Levy/ENIC to have a team that can challenge high up the PL table.

Whoever gets the job is on a hiding to nothing. Now we all know he was never the first, second or even third choice. It's Nuno all over again. A good manager but unable to convince the players and fans alike because we all know he was a desperate appointment. The new manager will also be compared to what is happening at Chelsea now so imagine the vultures lurking if Poch gets off to a flier and we're slow starters.

Putting aside that it's Pochettino, Chelsea announcing their new manager immediately after the season ends is exactly what I thought/hoped we would do.

Everyone there is going into pre-season with clarity and certainty.

Two months after we've sacked Conte and we're no closer to knowing who our new manager will be. You would've hoped that after 2021 that we would not be in this position but here we are.

Not saying it won't work out for them, but Chelsea knee jerking and announcing new personnel left right and centre has hardly been a roaring success so far.

Potter would be a disaster.

I also have doubts around Potter, but the above is a bit too simplistic IMO.
Whereas I agree that Brighton has improved since he left, they also improved massively during his tenure.
He failed miserably at Chelsea, but was only there for five minutes, with no chance of shaping their squad.

It actually makes quite good sense to get a dof that the new manager wants

My reasoning being that they probably worked together well and the dof probably got him players that worked well for him.

My obviously weird conclusion is that the tail wagging the dog probably works well in a football situation 🤔

Not for me...dull boring guy and football isnt front foot football imo
I dot mind watching Brentford, I think they have some good players. Have a feeling he maybe a coach that would be able to adapt his style to what he has. Like I said though I’m not sure 👍

Honestly don’t see a scenario where we start next season well, Poch will no doubt do better than us with their budget & squad regardless.

Can’t really know that, we might have a better chance if we get a shift on and appoint the right DOF and manage mr

The only hope I have is playing only one game a week should ensure that Kane and Son are fresh and able to press from the front again.

Might explain the pigs arse were making of this
Rumblings!!! lol. This has been 'unofficially' acknowledged by ITK for a while now, and not that I'm ITK (or maybe this is), but I've had it confirmed to me by someone directly associated with FP (I'll say no more) that he is indeed holed up in a bunker somewhere working directly with DL, not employed by the club. Freelance, contracting, zero-hours, gig-economy worker... whatever you want to refer to it as... Until Munn officially starts, and until we have a DoF and a manager... this is what is going on. (and it's permitted by FIFA before anyone asks that question, reduced footballing capacity allowed).

Believe, don't believe, pinch of salt, whatever. Just my 2 cents.
