Everton away next week for them, now actually looks like a very tough game, which a month ago was a different story. Hopefully Big Dunc can keep them fired up.
Oooh. He's certainly made Everton more combative.

We can hope a bottom half finish for them this season would be magicYeah exactly, it’s basically impossible to do down if you have a 20 goal striker. Arsenal have 2, and there is loads of dross in the division. I’d be amazed if they aren’t top half

They've out-fought both Chelsea and Man United in the last two games, they should be able to do the same to Arsenal.Oooh. He's certainly made Everton more combative.

The current ostracisation of Lacazette suggests to me that he'd be top of their get rid list, they could receive a good fee for him. I can't understand why he isn't playing if that isn't the reason, he's a all-round quality footballer. Not as rapid and predatory as Aubameyang but certainly has more to his game. They won't end up in a relegation battle but at this rate, may well struggle to get into Europe.
With their current finances, that will be a massive kick in the stones. They're currently running a loss and I'm pretty sure I've read that they're close to the ffp lines.
Considering the likes of Pepe and Saliba are being paid in installments over the next few years, they've really got themselves into a bit of a pickle.
They need major investment into their squad - although they don't seem to understand which areas need improving - and they just aren't going to have the funds available

If I were boss there (God forbid) I'd be so tempted to try out a Liverpool-like front three with Lacazette in the Firmino role and Aubameyang and A.N. other rapid forward (Pepe, Martinelli, Saka) either side. That leaves no space for Özil in the midfield but honestly, he's such a lost cause it surely wouldn't matter.
I'd argue that Aubameyang would only nominally play on the flank and would be as central as Lacazette most of the time in such a system. It would require Lacazette to play a bit deeper than as a true 9 but he has the skillset to do it.Aubameyang only wants to play centrally though, and he's also their best player. It makes no sense to shift him out wide to accomodate Lazazette, as good as a player as he is.
It's symptomatic of the shambels that Arsenal are that they signed two top class No. 9s, despite the rest of their squad being utterly fucked and their budget being pretty limited.
