From speaking to a few family members who support Bournemouth it sounds like he's not been on great terms with the management or some of the players all season because of the contract situation. It wouldn't surprise me if his was a mutual decision by him and the club, but the club have dressed it up to make him look like the arsehole.

A bit like Eriksen with us, they got him cheaply because he ran down his contract, so they can’t complain too much. It's only the middle of the relegation fight because of Covid. He wants to move on so I don't see any blame attached to him.

While I can understand not wanting to get injured, he’s let his team-mates down too. Difficult position but he’ll be remembered poorly if they go down.

I'd imagine he couldn't play for them unless he was registered so unless he signs another contract of some sort he doesn't have a choice.
