Maddison looks like a knock and precautionarily taken off , by how its described.

I expect Maddison to play in City, just going by how its been explained

Without Maddison & Romero & VDV, only sane way IMO is to play back3. Involve Kulu in CM as no8 in buildup and play like a 3-5-2 with Son & Richy or Johnson.

Ange has played back 5 with Australia - he said in past he can go back3 if required. Situation now calls for a back3 with players strength & weakness now available.

Yes it’s bad we lose vdv and romero for 3 but with 11 warriors on the pitch I still don’t fear anyone. Ange has given the squad the mentality to compete, whoever comes in. We’ll be ok.

With the pace that City usually set, I think last nights happenings (the VDV injury and Romero suspension) likely kill any faint hope we had of a title challenge.

Believe in Ange and the boys though, every faith we can finish in the CL places. Will need good business at CB and possibly attack in January to keep us going however.

Long way to go this season and really think Ange is building something good, such a shame we won't be at full power for a good few weeks.

We were never serious title contenders because our squad lacks depth. If the first XI was fit for every game of the season we'd have a chance but that was obviously never going to happen.

Qualifying for the Champions League is realistic but we'll need more clever recruitment in January.

Absolutely should be pushing for CL. No reason why we cant be top 4 (5 maybe now?) A couple of smart buys in Jan will really help us with that

After the events of last night I’m terrified of not even making Europe now.
I wish I had the positivity of done in here but months of Dier and Davies in a high line scare the crap out of me.

If we can get something from Wolves and Villa, we'll have put ourselves in a fantastic position to weather out some potential losses until suspensions and injuries start to sort themselves out.

Honestly, I'll be low key glad the fuss about top of the league will likely recede now.

Both Wolves and Villa will be very difficult and different.
I think we will have enough to creat chances against both if we can keep what remains of our attacking players on the pitch and fit.
There is no doubt we will be vulnerable with 3/4 of our starting back four not starting. It could really be old school Spurs a la Ardiles !!

People worrying about Villa who just lost to Forest, yeah they've been good this season but we're still better than them. It's after the International Break too, so hopefully we'll have a fully fit Maddison, Udogie will be back and Bentancur will have had more minutes in his belt.

No Romero or Mickey is a tricky situation but last night the back ups showed they're up for the fight too.

Need a decent CB signed on day 1 of the window, with them starting the FA Cup game on the 6th/7th. That as well as another attacker and I think we can still get top 4, even if we have to make do/drop off a bit between now and January.

Hilarious thing is, if we beat Wolves, we still go top.
In this unpredictable season, if Chelsea get a point v City we will stay top for another 2 weeks. And then its Villa at home, whilst City play Liverpool. So, chin up.
And I am confident Ashley Philips will be star born at the weekend, and protect our good season (I have it on good authority he will be starting, rumours abound his headmaster has excused him homework this weekend).:cautious:

Just nabbed a ticket for West Ham in section 250 (row 59)..

Anyone been in that area?

Does the fact that it's becoming increasingly unlikely that United and Newcastle will make the knock-outs of the CL mean 5th is less likely to earn a CL spot for next season?
