Harry has already stated that his wages are astronomical and that we couldn't pay him anywhere near that amount.
Adebayor doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would take a huge cut in wages.

Agree, there is no way that we could match what he is on at City. Lukaku may be a better bet.

I think he'd score a few goals, pratt about a bit, have a bust up, score a couple more goals and generally divide opinion.

City won't do any loan business with us. That was apparent with the Bellemy saga in the summer. They rightly see us as challengers for top 4, and there is no way they will allow us to become stronger and subsidise this by paying a % of Adebayour's wages.

We're living in cloud cuckoo land if we think we'll get Adebayour either on loan or on the cheap.

I wouldnt want to spend £25 mil on him. But I wouldnt be adverse to him playing for Spurs. I think he would be an asset.

Lukaku would be nice but not as our #1 star striker. At 17 I'd be wary of putting that much pressure on him. Like others have said though Ade is pretty much a no go with city being scared of us and his wages being through the roof. Dzeko on the other hand would still be expensive but probably the best of the lot. Now is the time to pony up the cash for a quality striker. It would be the difference between 1 point or 3 points away to brum and challenging for the top 4 or the title. We're so close to being genuine title contenders I just hope we take the chance to make it happen.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has rubbished talk that he is interested in Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Speculation has increased in recent weeks suggesting Spurs were keen to snap-up the former Arsenal striker, who is unsettled at Eastlands.
And reports over the weekend claimed that Man City could try and use Adebayor as bait in a £60million-plus move for Spurs' man of the moment Gareth Bale.
"Absolute nonsense," Redknapp told TalkSport.
"I've never made any enquiries for Adebayor whatsoever. I keep seeing in the papers that we're after him. I've never ever asked about him or enquired about him."
No sale

Redknapp was quick to deny that he would contemplate letting Welsh wing wizard Bale leave the club, although acknowledging that any decision may not be his to make.
"We don't want to sell Gareth Bale," he continued.
"At the end of the day it won't be my decision, it'll be above my head but it would take an absolute fortune one day to buy him.
"For me, at this particular time, he's got to be the Footballer of the Year in this country. I can't think of anyone who's done as well as him.
"He's not a player that we would really want to sell. You've got to hang onto your best players. If Tottenham want to be a club that's always looking to get in Champions League football you can't sell those players."
Redknapp also stated that he doubted any players would be coming into White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.
"I'm not looking for too much. As we've always said if we find someone who makes a difference and would take us on that extra bit we would be in the market] but it's always difficult to find," he said.
"We've got good players and the top players, in this country, are not available. It's difficult to improve your team and squad. At the moment we're not even close to thinking about signing anybody else."

Memo to SP wenger aint really blind he just says stupid shit to deflect attention away from his players

couldn't be arsed reading the rest of that drivel

MEMO TO VIVA: the comment about Wenger was tongue-in-cheek. I am sorry for you that you have the intellectual soophistication of a par-boiled Garden Pea and couldn't see that.

The rest of the post was well-reasoned, but as seen as you couldn't be bothered reading a response I took sometime to compose and was logical and tightly argued I am going to put you on IGNORE...as what is good for the Goose (that being you) is good for the Gander (that being me):hello:

Okay, I'll take you off the ignore button one last time just to respond to this post, and then, try to understand 'IGNORE' means I won't be reading anymore of your posts:

Internet Saddo...maybe, but how would you know. You know me from being on the Internet, and you come across as a bit of a saddo (with diminsihed to non-existent debating powers). So, maybe I am or maybe it is just a displacement or our own personality traits.

In the 'real World' I can work with absolutely anyone reasonable, and in my private life I just don't have anything to do with anyone as annoying as you. What about yourself, do you believe you have some kinda right to constantly annoy the shit out of people who clearly don't want anything to do with you? And does that work for you? How sad.

Bye Now, you are on IGNORE:hello::hello::hello:

Could someone kindly point this part of the post our for me as I think I must have missed it.

It is for similar limited ability to the point of annoying the beeJesus outta me that I put you on ignore. Did you fail to realise that IGNORE means I won't be reading your posts:shrug:

Okay, one last time, I will TRY and iexplain something to your all too limited mind: I can't even remeber what I said in the post he was responding too, and enve rread it back. the point is that it doesn't matter - if he only read the first line I could have correctly said North Korea had started a nuclear war and he wouldn't have known. And that was the point of my post. Normally my posts are either tongue-in-cheek and humorous, or they are logical and well-argued (that is because I am trained to do that at a high level). Or a combination of the two. So it was either inteneded as a bit of banter, lik the bit about Wenger not seeing things, and/or it was logical and well-argued.

The fact that your pea brain enticed you to intervene due to some kind of child-grudge from your previous interaction where you showed a distinct inability to understand logical debate means little in reality.

I hope you and Viva, both of whom will no longer be debating anything with me (thank FCUK), will have a happy relationship and many hours of contentedly directing incomprehensible drivel at one another, with no interest in actually paying attention to what the other person says.

:hello::hello::hello:

So you were speaking rubbish, got pulled up on it, and now you're throwing all your toys out the pram in protest at people pulling you up for speaking rubbish?

Don't take it personally dude, we all have bad days.

Also may I enquire as to which category the quote highlighted below fits into?

"Read my lips: Adebayor stopped trying (visibly) for a whole season at ArseScum because he didn't get his own way."

Because as far I can see it neither logical nor well argued and it certainly isn't funny (or at least it doesn't appear that it was intended to be funny).

Do you think that perhaps some of your posts fall into a different category other than the ones you so modestly listed above?

Is it conceivable that there is a fifth dimension to your online persona?
Wherein posts that are illogical, poorly argued and witless stream out from every angle onto computer screens the world over?

From where I'm sat I must say that it seems a distinct possibility.
