Most reports say Bastoni is extremely keen to stay at Inter
Maybe some reports say that, but Bastoni passed up on the opportunity to say it himself today in his post-match interview. And there have also been reports today saying that he's informed Inter that he wants to come to Spurs.

Meanwhile some of his team-mates have confirmed in interviews over the last few days that they have no intention of leaving.

I know it doesn't help us, but surely inter fans would prefer getting dybala and Lukaku in with Martinez out, if they can keep Bastoni. Just better for their squad structure imo.
Yep, honestly I think that makes the most sense from Inter’s perspective, but it seems like Martinez ended the season on fire + they can upgrade CCB spot with Bremer to allow for Bastoni downgrade.

saying that though I have a bad feeling that we might see some weird loan and delayed fee for Lukaku with Martinez heading to Chelsea for an upfront fee. Solving Inter’s money needs in the process.

Your 2nd paragraph may be right and somehow chelscum screw us again.

(Just joking kids, before everyone says chelscum don't deliberately go out to screw us. Or am I joking?)

Also says this though which doesn’t bode quite as well…maybe they’ve decided with Lukaku available on loan they’d rather sell Lautaro?

Tbh I’d be over the moon if we came away with ether Bastoni or Lautaro. Wouldn’t be too far a stretch to think that we could save money on the Lo Celso/Torres swap and use the freed up funds on Martinez.

I don’t see a Lautaro for Lukaku swap being an option. Inter will still need funds, ideally in the 60-80 mil euro bracket which they won’t get from a full or partial swap with Chelsea.

Would not suprise me at all if Chelsea gave inter that money (60-80 mio euro) plus Lukaku on loan for 2 years to get lautaro.

How they get away with this stuff is another issue.

I guess its possible, Inter will want to secure any loan deals before they start collecting money for players. Once they accumulate cash, it may be hard to say to other clubs were skint.

Let’s hope we get this done asap in case Chelsea fuck us again by buying Martinez! Wouldn’t put it past them. Although Matt Law has done a piece on Chelsea’s transfer business today and he only mentions Lukaku going if Tuchel wants him out. Nothing about a replacement or if Tuchel definitely wants rid. Either way it seems we will know soon. With this being such a key transfer for Conte, the sooner it is settled either way the better so we can either get him or look for alternatives.

Edit: I’ve seen some reports that Chelsea want a loan fee with numbers up to £25m being mentioned. Can’t see inter paying that. A guy on SSN said the deal to take Lukaku back to inter is miles away at the moment.

Here’s the Matt law piece that talks about Lukaku. Might put some minds at rest (or not).

Chelsea promise Thomas Tuchel full backing on transfers

Following talks with new owner Todd Boehly, Tuchel will be handed the reins in a move designed to model Manchester City and Liverpool

Thomas Tuchel has been promised that he can take the lead on Chelsea’s transfer business by the club’s new owners in a shift designed to move closer to the Manchester City and Liverpool models.

And that could be good news for Romelu Lukaku’s hopes of re-joining Inter Milan if Tuchel informs Todd Boehly that he believes the club record signing should be allowed to leave Chelsea.

Just as Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp drive decisions over incomings and outgoings at City and Liverpool, the Boehly-led group now in charge of Chelsea have told Tuchel that his voice will be the loudest on transfers and first-team football decisions.

Tuchel is viewed as one of the club’s biggest assets by the new owners, who believe the best way to try to make ground on Premier League champions City and Liverpool is to give the German similar power to that enjoyed by Guardiola and Klopp.

In a meeting with Tuchel, it is understood Boehly made it clear that the new owners will do everything in their power to try to deliver his targets and move on players he does not want - rather than attempting to impose their own transfer ideas.

As previously reported by Telegraph Sport, Chelsea’s new owners are prepared to give Tuchel around £200million to spend this summer, although more could be made available by significant player sales.

At least in the short-term, Tuchel is still working closely with director Marina Granovskaia and technical and performance advisor Petr Cech, but the 48-year-old is now set to have the biggest influence over which players Chelsea make bids for and who they attempt to sell.

Previously, Chelsea have worked with Tuchel and his predecessors to identify and pursue mutually beneficial targets with the club having a greater say over sales, which is not uncommon within the Premier League and Europe.

But the focus this summer is likely to be on delivering Tuchel’s recommendations, in terms of incomings and outgoings, with Boehly himself also involved in transfer discussions.

It means that if Tuchel informs the club that he believes a move away is the best course of action regarding Lukaku, who wants to return to Inter Milan, then Chelsea’s new owners are likely to attempt to broker a deal rather than trying to convince the head coach to make the situation work.

Guardiola was allowed to move on the likes of Joe Hart and Yaya Toure, who were hugely influential City players, while Klopp sold Christian Benteke, just a year after Liverpool had spent £32.5million on the Belgian.

Chelsea spent a club record £97.5m on Lukaku last year, but Inter are only likely to be able to afford an initial loan deal for the 29-year-old, with Chelsea having to part-fund his wages. Tuchel’s view will be crucial to whether or not such a deal gets the green light.

The approach of Chelsea’s new owners, who have already pumped £100m into the club in new shares, is unlikely to dramatically alter the club’s list of targets, which Tuchel had been heavily involved in drawing up with Granovskaia and Cech.

But it does mean that if the former Borussia Dortmund coach decides he wants to work with Ousmane Dembele again, then any fears over the forward’s injury or disciplinary records are more likely to be pushed aside.

Dembele’s Barcelona contract expires this summer, which could make him a free agent, although Chelsea are not thought to be close to reaching an agreement with the 25-year-old and have other attacking targets such as Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku.

Defence remains Chelsea’s priority position, with the club hoping to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla and Boehly also ready to fund a move for Matthijs de Ligt should Tuchel decide the 22-year-old Juventus star is a better option than other targets such as Josko Gvardiol.

The ambitions of Chelsea’s new owners mean that a bid for Declan Rice cannot yet be ruled out, given the fact Tuchel is known to be an admirer of the midfielder who West Ham United have claimed to value at £150m.

The long-term future of Granovskaia remains uncertain following the Chelsea takeover, amid suggestions that Atletico Madrid’s sporting director Andrea Berta could be of interest to the club’s new owners.

I just can’t see chavs shelling out 60m when they need 60m for Kounde and apparently they want de ligt as well

Fully expect Bastoni to come to us. If for some reason deal doesn’t happen, then I hope we get Dumfries for RWB and Bremer for CB.

Not that it has much to say, but Bastoni and Conte are connected to the same communcation agency (stars on field.) Hopefully they are two stars on the lane next year also.

Bremer is going to Inter - we have zero chance of getting him.

Also, we're not getting Lautaro while we have Kane - forget any of this 'we need depth' stuff. I agree that WE need depth, but he's not going to come to somewhere where he's not first choice, which he wouldn't be, and no amount of promise of rotation is going to persuade him.

It seems to me like they'll sell one of Lautaro, or Bastoni - I think it's unlikely they'll sell both. So really, we either need to get a move on, or look elsewhere.

I don't feel, for instance, that Bastoni will agitate for a move to us. We might still get this guy, but IMO this just got more unlikely.
