People are far too pessimistic about Richarlison IMO.Fantasy.
He was poor last season but I’ve not seen any of his detractors acknowledge that a huge part of it was down to having done his hamstring in the warmups of a World Cup quarterfinal when his country’s only other striker was already injured and unavailable. Every single player in world football would have played under those circumstances, and every single one of them would have been ruined for months afterwards.
That, combined with him not playing in his best positon, combined with our overall attacking ineptitude under Conte/Stellini/Mason, combined with his other injuries, combined with about a half-dozen marginally offside goals, all meant that his return was far less than what he’s capable of.
He’s miles away from Kane but he suits Ange’s setup down to the ground. He’s preferred over Gabriel Jesus for Brazil FFS, he’s perfectly capable of being a significant contributor.
