I know he's the more experienced striker, and we're in no position to be greedy, but after being linked with Daka and Edouard, it'd feel a little underwhelming signing Milik...

#thfc are preparing a bid to sign Arkadiusz Milik after Napoli reduced their asking price by £14M. [Football Insider]
'Preparing', 'Considering', 'Tabled' and 'Lodged' are all red flags for me. If I see any of those words I disregard the info. Feel free to add your own

If it was Milik, I think the ITKs would be open about it. The no.1 target is still being kept quiet because the name hasn’t hit the press yet.

Milik seems a very Mourinho signing to me. Proven. Ready to go. Solid goal record. Experienced at highest level. Strong, good hold up. He’s actually the best option for us at this time even if he’s not as exciting as Daka and Edouard.

I really believe this transfer, unlike every other deal this summer, is actually going to come down to the player, his wages, and commitment to the project rather than the fee. Well, maybe Bale’s wages but in terms of getting him to come I think he’d be more keen than Milik.

All that’s out there is about him desperately wanting to go to Juve or Roma, I.e. stay in Italy, or to go somewhere to become a starter. Add to that the Ally quote about €150k a week in wages and you can see this potentially being a massive waste of time as there’s just as much negotiation needed with Milik as Napoli.

Eduorad makes much more sense imo he is already accustom to the British style of football young big strong skillful he'd be a nightmare. I believe he has a higher level of potential too. You get the feeling from reports Milik is dragging his heels and would prefer to stay in Italian football.

There's also the Janssen about him in that he'll freeze under the pressure to perform and will be a nightmare to shift on big wages.

Hey if our scouts and Mourinho approve so be it.

It would be really great if we could stop preparing the bid and start doing the bid
