Glad this fixture is so early in the season. Not hopeful about todays result but I think we'll comfortably creep ahead of them as the season goes on.

Not a "must win" , but a "would give my left testicle not to lose".

Your post started well, full of insight and sense.

Then it descended into bollocks

Lose, and we’re 5pts behind them already (they lost their first two last season and played catch-up all season) - I don’t fancy Spurs at the moment to claw that back. Not to mention any faint title hopes would be done and dusted before September.

Can’t understand why some don’t see this as a massive game just because it’s four games in.

If ever we needed a boost
with all the doom and gloom around
then this is the match to give it to us.
Ideal game for us to remember
the recent past.
What Gap? and all that.
Win this and we are once again set fair.
A draw away from home
would be strategic bonus.
Lose? No such word this weekend.
Kane hat trick and a 2-2 draw.

They went ahead of us when they beat us at the Emirates. I remember the "banter" fondly.

Mate, it's a long, long season. It's a massive game but...

the thing that concerns me is a number of our players seem to shat themselves in these big away games, treat the ball like a hot potato, proper panic sets in

Lloris, Sanchez, Winks to name three key culprits can all do so much better and need to show some bollox to provide some decent foundations in possession

There will be loads more room than the two home games in which to play so the game is there for the taking

I’m sorry but our record at the Emirates in the league is atrocious. We really need to sort this out and stop getting smashed by these lot. I know we beat them last season in the league cup, but in general we barely ever turn up at their shithole. Time to stop the rot and get a much needed 3 points.

This is what happens a majority of the time in the big games the player's talk about mentality but so often we let ourselves down and in style too.

Can’t wait confident of a win today, the whole atmosphere around spurs has changed this last couple of days, I think the whole team will be pumped up and we will out score them

No expectations from today at all. Unfortunately I’ve lost a fair bit of faith in Poch and the players at the moment. Our last two league games are the worst I’ve seen us play for sometime, for different reasons. City we got absolutely smashed against the best side in the league when we were supposed to be competing with them, and then to rub salt into the wound, we play the worst team in the league at home and put in a diabolical display and lose.

It’s not great is it. We have the players to win at Arsenal but our mentality is always wrong there. I don’t really think it’s acceptable to go to them again and put in a poor display especially in the context of our performances this year. We should be fired up. Big game for Poch. Needs to start getting a tune out of this team again. Fans shouldn’t accept us passively rolling over for them.

What do u suggest we do?
Post a load of oh woe is me stuff, run around from thread to thread saying how it's unacceptable, kick the dog, boot the other half/significant other up the growler, stomp your feet as hard as you can and write a strongly worded letter to His Loftiness expressing your dissatisfaction. Then post some more about how it's not good enough and be generally negative about absolutely everything Spurs related, put the players down eat every opportunity, slag the manager at least thrice a day. Do this for long enough and you become bitter about everything Spurs related*. Hah! That'll learn 'em :D

*And the growler gets snappy

Can the growler pass forward or play in defence every bit helps.
