They're 5th ATM, you know those tramps are gonna be chirping nonsense for the next few weeks at least.

Had it already today. Finishing above us, not necessarily top 4 but definitely top 6.

Why do they do it to themselves? We were never that deluded when we were shit!

Had a mental dream that we went 5-1 up after 30 mins but for some reason I had to leave.

Fast forward to full time and we'd lost 6-9 ...........after extra time.

I don't even know what to make of that.

Depends. Was it wet?

This week has been worse than when we lost the champions League for me. Not sure why, but our performance against Newcastle and this game on the horizon means I just can't see a way we will perform at all. I hope to god we get our mojo back somehow tomorrow, but if we follow our pattern of the last 15 league games then it will be another one to forget.

What about the one in the last 15 where we actually drew with tomorrows opposition? ;)

Their front three worry me. Pepe is rapid. Rose is quick but not that quick. I just hope we exploit their shit defence.

It's immensely frustrating that we could have fielded the same 11 as tomorrow in 2017 and won at a canter.

I'd love tomorrow to be the day our form picks back up. It has to happen sooner or later, so why not?

Mentally preparing for the worst- injuries already taking effect- can't remember last time we played well for more than 30 minutes

So looking forward to the game but cant help feeling scared...

Not that that's bad. I felt too confident too many times and I was always disappointed often.

Lots of pressure on. Minimum acceptable start to the season has to be 7 points (6 from the simple home games, 1 from the tricky aways), which means anything other than a win tomorrow leaves us with ground to make up. I'll go into it with hope but don't expect us to pull that off.

I think many of us using this forum have struggled to understand why Verts has not been used and Christian has been given so little playing time. Tomorrow's team selection will be interesting and, depending on the result, should provide some very interesting posts after the match. Lose and much of the excitement and hope generated from our purchases will start to drain away as there is no obvious explanation as to why we have started so unexpectedly poorly.
It is difficult for me, but I still have this lingering hope tomorrow will see our season kick started. Hopefully as the match is so important despite being so early in the season, he will return to the Verts and Toby pairing with Christian starting. If he puts out the strongest team he can then surely the result we are all craving for has a very good chance of happening?
Fingers crossed we will perform as we know we can and come away with a win

It's a funny side this spurs team. On the form we have started with you'd expect city to put 4 past us. But they didn't. The goal the barcodes scored was against embarrassingly awful defending. So it it hard to judge, as the gooners still have a ropey defence. But, their attack is frighteningly quick and cohesive. Whereas ours seems to be lacking any movement, creativity or speed of thought. Yet we managed 2 goals against the best team in the league. But couldn't score against Newcastle....

MP needs to select Vertonghen if he wants to stop that front line. He would make a huge difference in my opinion.

Not really looking forward to this match to be honest. But, they will attack and leave themselves open. As opposed to the proverbial bus parking we have to overcome game after game.

Would take a draw all day long. I think that would be a steal tbh.
We lost a lot of games with Vertonghen people tend to brush over that and blame Sanchez. Vertonghen half cooked against the speed of Arsenal doesn't make sense playing him at CB however as a wingback am all in.

He is in a class above Sanchez (at the moment) . Its not blaming Sanchez. But imo the defense is far more assured with Verts in it. Is he half crocked? I thought it was because a transfer out was possible, as to the reason he has been left out not injury? Who knows. Anyway, its not a blame.game, it's about the best possible side and just my opinion. Which really means zip!

(Sanchez has been gassed by quick players plenty of times due to his positioning. He is still learning).

Because people are scared we're going to lose heavily. Despite holding the best team in the universe to a draw away.

There is potential of that but the outcome will have no real impact surley? All of the big 5 are expected to win at home.

I think playing the high line and marking is not easy... You have to have a sense of where you are and where your marker is. Sanchez is very weak at that.
He can tackle well, He isn't bad in the air but his positioning is weak.
Also he looks very hesitant on the ball.
