Not gonna I'd be pretty happy if we made those two signings.... Two experienced players with quality and obviously experience of the EPL. Would improve them without a doubt IMO.

La Voix du Nord (reliable) also saying they're close to signing Gabriel, the CB from Lille a few people on here were v keen on us signing a few weeks back.

That's potentially Saliba, Gabriel, Willian and Coutinho coming in already, with a bumper contract for Auba too. Can't say they're not backing Arteta.

It’s a horrible situation for the employees. And no doubt a tough decision for the club. I wonder what we’d say if Levy did this instead of the tapping into the Furlough scheme? I’d say in hindsight it was the right decision although this is way to early to say. It could still happen. For example the Superstore can be making much money and the hospitality certainly isn’t. From this month the club start sharing the burden of those wages. Let’s see how we come out the other side.

The club was eligible for it and any businessman seeking to safeguard the company in such uncertain times would have been negligent to ignore it. In spite of the negative publicity I think it was the right thing to do then and still think so now. No doubt those same fans who criticised him for it will be those shouting loudest because of the perceived lack of incoming transfers this window.
