More talks today between PSG ans Villas-Boas. AVB is definitely the priority now. £10M release clause obviously not a pb for PSG.

Last few hours this guy has not stopped with the AVB to PSG stuff. Seems confident and writes for a reasonably decent paper too.

Would set us back 4-5 years if we lost AVB now, as Bale would follow.

This will all come down to how much Villas-Boas is supported in the transfer market by bringing in the players he wants and not just someone Levy thinks is a bargain.

All the talk end of last summer was about how frustrated Villas-Boas was over missing out on the likes of Moutinho, if he is starting to see the same intransigence again from Levy then it would be no surprise to see him leave.

Would it be a good career move though ? Well if he won the French title again and the CL with them it would be, and he'll be able to bring in any players he wants.

Considering our ambition is to challenge for 4th place until we get a new stadium in 10 years, I wouldn't blame Villas Boas if he wanted to go and play Football Manager with Monopoly money at PSG.

He wants to win things, he's already said he doesn't want a long career in management and he hasn't spent longer than a season at any club so far.

All news sources in France saying he is ready to sign a long term contract with them. I am going to be absolutely gutted if it happens. Can't believe it to be honest

POTL's ITK on wednesday was that AVB isn't going, let's trust him on it

After what happened to him at Chelsea there is no way that he is moving to another new rich club

L'Equipe is the reliable paper in France, I believe? IF they start reporting it maybe then I'll be worried.

Hope it isn't true obviously.

As far as I'm aware there haven't been any talks between PSG and AVB so fail to see how there could be more.
Archibalds response..... agreed.. this time of year is just so repetitive

so if the unmentionable happens, then that puts Herr Freund at the helm?....

I think if this happen Daniel would just say 'fuck it' and sit himself down on the bench. He buys half the players anyway he may as well pick them too. Sherwood assistant manager

Last week it was Laudrup for a year then Wenger as the long term target. Or Hiddink.

Now it's AVB with a long term contract.

Basically, anyone decent so that Real Madrid get Ancelotti.. gotta wonder who is leaking info/lies when every RM player or ex player is talking about Bale and PSG are supposedly after AVB.

My guess is someone at Real is feeding stories to whoever will listen. They want Bale, they think Bale wants to stay because he enjoys playing for AVB. Loosen AVB up with talk of PSG, loosen Bale up for a transfer.

I think this sounds like there is something in it. Daniel Levy can't allow this to happen. Disastrous for him and club if it does

Levy can't exactly stop this from happening though can he, it's not like Levy can kidnap AVBs family and hold a gun to to AVBs head and force him to manage us for the rest of his contract.

At the end of the day, If AVB wants to go then AVB will go and there is'nt much Levy can do to stop him going.

Personally I think it's all a load of gossip bollocks and even if PSG were interested then I'd hope AVB would show a little bit of gratitude and loyalty to the club that has given him the fantastic opportunity to rebuild his shredded reputation after the farce that is Chelsea fc
