WTF is this. I was very unsure about AVB in the start and now when i start to more than like him he is on his way.... IF PSG give 10M does that mean that AVB can say no and stay with us ?

Yes! We couldn't just bundle him off kicking and screaming to Paris - it would be his choice.

Everybody is entirely sure that he's not going, right? There's still too many rumours floating round for me to feel sure on this...

I'm not. I'm bricking it. He goes, Bale swiftly follows. Suddenly we're right in the shit and scrabbling around for 5th and 6th choice players in the last week of the window and looking at a new manager, with little time in and a new DoF he doesn't know and Danny Wellbeck as the lone on-loan striker signed 5 minutes before deadline.

Well, this post was the precise opposite of being comforting. Thanks.

Reports from french media today again suggest that AVB is in socalled "pole position" for the PSG job

Would like an end to this - either a new contract for AVB or AVB going out rejecting the idea of taking over at PSG.

they just repeat the same shit.

This week it has been Hiddink, Laudrup and AVB round and round.

If they meet the release clause it's his choice really. He could well go. I wouldn't go to them personally because of the sheer Chelsea-esque expectation, but it's what he thinks. All the money to get all the Inho's and titles he wants. It's fucking crazy to have such a reasonable release clause in there, maybe AVB bargained for it, but i'll be fuming at Levy if he hasn't, considering how many clubs there are where money is no object.

Unless he has agreed to a new contract I can't put too much confidence into any itk on what avb will and won't do. Managers getting offered jobs/leaving is very fluid and no one knows but AVB and he might not even know yet.

Really beginning to worry now that we are going to lose our manager. No smoke without fire and the fact he was let down in the market by Levy and the "money no object policy" of PSG may just turn his head.....

Seriously don't worry about this, AVB would be nuts to leave us now. It would mean he's still never stayed at a club longer than a year and I don't think that's something he's really wanted. He's a clever guy and although being offered that much money is always going to make you think, he's already got millions in the bank. This is just PSG's wishful thinking and fair play, he's a great manager. He's our manager though!

The French league isn't even the cakewalk it should be for P$G anymore what with Monaco bukkakeing money all over Europe.

He's only a manager. If Levy gets paid a lot for him well it's just like selling a player. DL changes manager more often than most change socks
