Bale! the striker

The line ups for Wales has Bale as a forward! playing in a front 3, but now about 5 mins into the game and i was expecting to ee him pull more out the the left and be the wide player i was shocked to see him atchaly in the center playing as the most forward player mg:

So he can play LB, LM, and now forward :lol: is there anything this kid can do.

Anyway my point would be if (as so many people want) we go to a 4-3-3 could it be bale and Lennon out wide? leaving VDV, Nico and modric challaging for these places or Modric, VDV, JJ Hudd, Wilson, Nico, Sandro, and anyone else i missed going for CM 3 places?

I guess you could have Gio challenger for wing position, also maybe O'hara could challenge for CM spot. I really think Harry is considering 4-5-1. And i think it's the way forward.

But agree, thought he would drop back into midfield more but he hasn't.

You can also drop BAE, move Bale to LB, Modric to LW and Sandro in to CM as well. Giving VDV freedom to move up to support Defoe. Modric cutting in and Bale over lapping.

cant see ohara getting too far in the team, forgot about Gio, so that would make it 8 players who can play in CM and 6 out wide (though some in both places) so we would have enough cover if we did pick up injuries or too many bookings. Would mean we would only realy need 2 maybe 3 strikers at a push so one at least would have to go in the next window

that would probably be a more attacking option with Bale at LB

Bale has looked really good in a pretty poor Welsh team in that first half. One run springs to mind where he skinned like 2 players, played the ball across to Bellamy who fluffed the ball about a million yards wide of the goal.

I thought about this before. He has the physique for it and the pace. Don't know how intelligent is movement would be in this position though. Mad I didn't get to watch it.
