So not seen any of tonight's game. Sounds like Biss, Skipp, Lo Celso are having great games. We also had Maddison and Sarr have great games on Sunday along with Holberg. Great options, along with Bentancur (who is def 1st on team sheet IMO when he is back) Anyone want to try and predict our midfiield 3 for Brentford :)
Will it be just like it was Sunday, or will any of the ones playing today force there way in
Bissouma is the starter when healthy, imo. He had a little knock, and so was not risked on Sunday.

I expect Brentford to be Maddison, Sarr, Bissouma.

If we need goals, Lo Celso on for Sarr. If not, I expect he will come on for Maddison at some point, but maybe not early.

Skippy will come on at some point. Not sure about Hojbjerg - really depends on whether we are trying to move him out.

Sanchez has been magnificent. Honestly believe he could be a very useful alternative for us, if he stays. Not a popular opinion with the «ffs Sanchez» crowd, but I’ll stand by my words.
His mistake led to their goal.

Sanchez > Dier if we were to keep one of them.

And I bet we could get a lot more for Dier. He has Everton written all over him. I’d consider it.

Honestly last season I felt like we actually had a very talented squad (besides at CB) and that what we were witnessing was the worst coaching performance at the club since Ramos or Santini. Feeling pretty vindicated in that view now.

I don't know what the hell happened to Conte last year, but he did a terrible fucking job and it's clear that with some proper coaching and tactics we've got the players to be a really good side (still need another CB).

Want the walk out music at the Lane to be thunderstruck by AC/DC. We could also get a chant out of that as well. Postecoglou! na na na na na na na na Postecoglou!

Might be a bit Captain Obvious but Bissouma absolutely has to be nailed on for the number 6 role in this team.

Everyone else is fighting for the two number 8 roles.
I would say bissouma and maddison are nailed on starters, with the other midfield spot up for grabs between lo celso, skipp and sarr.

Son’s starting spot should be taken by Solomon or Perisic imo. They’ve been miles better than he has in this system. He’s a brilliant goalscorer and excellent in a counter attacking system but not in this one.
Coming back from injury, starting the season late and played less than 3 halves of football? Maybe he just needs a bit more time to learn a new role but Sonny is quality still.

It's hard to judge things by preseason matches but this is genuinely the best our midfield has looked since Dembele still had functioning kness. I'm impressed.

I actually think we have decent cover now. Would be happy to see Perisic stay and use Solomon on the right. Lo Celso has stepped up. Sanchez grew into it and his pace is an asset with a high line.

Shaky start, but grew into the game. Sanchez especially.

What this tells me is we don't need too much more. This would be a League cup XI essentially and they're showing they can play against top opposition. I don't care that it's pre-season. It's still a very strong Barca XI.
Hmmm. View here in Spain is that this Barca team are off the pace.
Romeu and Garcia are squad players at best

Nice problem to have. Bentancur still to come back too and he might be a perfect fit for that role.
