I got a free ticket through work for the Manc derby on Sunday so thought why not? it being a big occasion and all. Well, it really did annoy me just how little Man Ure fans know their own players. My mate who is a United fan was just wincing at some of the surrounding comments on Sunday. I know they were rattled by losing to their arch rivals and I know alot of Spurs fans make some strange judgments on players, but the thing that annoyed me the most was their lack of respect for Carrick when he came on. What's he gonna do they were all crying? He's not going to affect anything. Well, he scored and played a delightful pass to Tevez which could've led to a goal, so a helluva lot more than the rest of your midfield for the rest of the game. Scholes & Giggs in particular were dreadful.

So my point of all this is...Man Utd fans really don't appreciate Carrick and don't deserve him. By and large most of us lot saw what he did for the team. Maybe he needs to come back and be loved.

Carrick. I still think we'd be playing Champs League if we had kept him. Jol's way of playing never really recovered from him leaving.

Shouldn't this be in General Football? Neither is a Spurs player, and neither is likely to be.

Carrick

But I'd rather a (fit and better) Appiah or a Lucho or Mascherano or KPB (next season he'll rock!) or Mikel

He is probably wrong, as the question is Spurs orientated.

Sorry to piss on your parade SS57!

(well I'm not actually!):)

So good, it had to be posted twice.

Is either of them a Spurs player?

You're allowed to think very, very hard about this.

If the answer is yes, then the question is Spurs-orientated.

Tough choice, guess I might just lean towards Barry, but then again we're OK for left-footers (more than we were anyway!)
