I thought when we became a CL team we would look to push on.

If anything we where more ambitious when we were striving to get there.

Because now we are finally in our new stadium and everything is in place, no CL would really be a disaster
If you hear Poch this week, he clearly indicates this summer we are going to spend... Without CL he won't get some of his targets

I understand that, but how many times have we said we'll definitely spend or we will get our targets because we're in the Champions League, only to still be getting less attractive options than teams outside the top 4.

Of course, it's very important and very beneficial to be in CL, but surely the aim after getting into the competition should be to win the thing?

I agree top 4 is crucial, it just doesn't make sense to me just maintain things instead of pushing a real chance of getting to a CL final

Should have beaten Bournemouth today and then we could have enjoyed going all guns for Ajax.
Still spitting at our stupidity this lunchtime.
Looked like we were getting some kind of tempo and rhythm back in the first 30minutes ready for Wednesday before Dier, Son and Foyth brains imploded.
I guess the good thing is we don’t have to call this either or.
We have a free hit on Wednesday, go down all guns blazing or ride into a glorious final.
Then whatever happens it is an absolute must that Poch gets us sodding ready for Everton.
Otherwise come on Brighton :-/

Beat Ajax, and anyone who says differently is an idiot. Tottenham Hotspur getting to a European Cup final is so rare an event that it has not yet happened so far in more than 135 years of football - it would be a once-in-a-pair-of-lifetimes event. Yes, there's the possibility, even probability that we'd lose, but if you'd take a top 4 season this year in exchange for wiping out the chance of a playing one-off match that has at least a slither of hope of us winning the most prestigious trophy in club football (a trophy that our club may literally never end up winning in its entire history, both past and future) then you're not following football for the same reasons that I do, and I would suggest that the club's motto of Audere Est Facere might have been lost on you.

Noble of you, rousing indeed - no one remembers club motto's though - it's all about big bank takes little bank.

Beat Ajax-this chance may never come again and there have been times I never thought I would see us qualify for the champions league, let alone reach the final.

And if Messi could pick up a minor knock that ruled him out of the final with an early red for Suarez in the game itself then all the better

Can't wait for the fucking melts to come out as we get our bollocks handed to us on a plate by Barca and go down getting a pasting for the ages.

Those are the things memories are made of.

Beat Ajax. Crowd and players are lifted for Everton.

Lose to Ajax and results go as expected in rival games then the pressure is going to be massive in that Everton game.

Beat Everton, and anyone who says differently is an idiot. Tottenham Hotspur limping like a lame horse to third place is so rare an event that it has happened a fair few times in our history - it would be a few-times-in-a-pair-of-lifetimes event. Yes, there's the possibility, even probability that we could beat Ajax then go on to beat Barcelona and lift the greatest club trophy in the history of ever (a trophy that our club may literally never end up winning in its entire history, both past and future), but if you'd take that trophy over a top 4 place this season then you're not following football for the same reasons that I do, and I would suggest that the club's motto of Audere Est Facere might have been lost on you.

These fucking threads are so stupid because one doesnt affect the other unless you think we are sending the reserves out on Wednesday.

Dunno why you're bothering, same plebs come out and wave their digital fists on a regular basis when we're shit.

Fans are a parody of the club now.

Audere Est Facere !
