Fernandes looks like the perfect Eriksen replacement in my opinion. Long range shooting, scoring, creativity, assists and hard working...the lot!

I work with A LOT of Portuguese people and they say Fernandes is one of, if not, the best players in the Portuguese league (depends on whether you speak to a benfica fan) and who ever he goes to, he will shine. I think he will fit perfectly in the Premier league.

I reckon Eriksen should go if it's to be believed that his head isn't in it anymore.

Fernandes and Lo Celso as his replacement seems very optimistic but I really hope we can do both these deals with less than a week to go!

Could be Lo celso, dybala now it’s Bruno

I’m confused cos they all look good
But it’s gareth Bale that gives me wood.

Is it his flair or is it his hair
that gives you wood
Is it a trick or dya just like di..

I just cannot see a scenario where we sign both GLC and Fernandes. It will be either/or as Eriksen’s replacement.

Hope I’m wrong, but I’ve seen too many transfer windows play out to believe otherwise.

I’d say this is the most likely outcome. Sadly.

It wouldn’t leave us badly off, but we’d be slightly lacking options and would be a bit thin

I don't feel confident about any of it. Too many 'if's' still involved. One of them (transfers in) have to break in the next 48 hours otherwise I think it's panic stations.

We’d be left weaker ( even accounting for Ndombele). GLC or Fernandes may never reach Eriksen’s level. That’s a matter for conjecture, but one thing is for sure is that they are not going to be at his level next season.

Sounds like we are trying to get this one done very quickly if so..

Probably heard Pauly D might reject United. Need to get it sorted before then. When United get desperate the money starts a flying.

Why does each bid require a new meeting? I'd love to be a fly on the wall when these meetings take place.

Also I might have missed it but is there any indication that Fernandes wants to come to us? I invisage us agreeing a fee, United matching it, and him choosing them over us.

I feel this dude may genuinely step us up a level (if we manage to pull this coupe off).

Could be one of our best signings for a long time.

But I know to be cautious in my optimism as we haven’t pulled one off for an attacking player like this for some time.

Would be great if we can get ourselves to the stage that players reject Man United for us, we’re not there yet though.
