Under ENIC we’ve won one trophy in nearly 25 years and we appear to be going nowhere.

Another 25 years and I’ll be 81 and we might win one trophy.

You very much might be right but I think I may very well be right as I don’t live a very healthy lifestyle all in all. ???

What's wrong with the experience of writing off the season in January or February then watching other matches and finals and deciding who you want to lose less? ?

I get the point, but I still think of it like this: Under Hoddle, Pleat, Santini, Jol, Allen & Inglethorpe, Ramos, Allen & Inglethorpe (again), Redknapp, Villas-Boas, Sherwood, Pochettino, Mourinho, Mason, Santo and Conte (so far), we've won one trophy. When I started supporting Spurs as a boy, Nicholson had just given way to Terry Neill. We've been pretty poor since then, but I don't recall past chairman being blamed for a lack of success on the pitch. The manager and players carried the can, and rightly so IMHO. Blaming the chairman is just a cop-out.
